Randy has always been one of my favorite fighters and I would never count him out. I think we learned that when he beat Chuck.
What was it Randy said ? This is the last time you will see these gloves and these shorts in the octagon.
I guess Randy changed his gloves and shorts and decided that he is ready to slay the giant.

I love Randy. The classiest guy ever in MMA. But I just think he is looking at the money and not reality. If Chuck put him to sleep twice and he originally came down from heavyweight because of him getting dominated in his last two fights by Ricco and Josh, what does he think Tim is gonna do?
He couldn't take Chuck down in their fights. How is he gonna take down someone 6'8" weighing 265lbs? Tim hits a heckuva lot harder then Chuck. Tim is stronger then Chuck. Tim is bigger then Chuck. Randy didn't look that great against Van Arsdale.
I wish Randy would really look at the situation with a open mind. Yea, Tim's last 2 fights weren't the best and Randy thinks the champ should push the pace and go for the win and not a decision but Tim fought AA and didn't want to get KOed. Fought Monson and worried about the submission. What does Tim have to worry about with Randy? Getting overpowered? Getting KO'ed?

Big difference between Shamrock and the Couture contracts is the payoff. Couture is making a huge amount of money for his four fight return you can be sure.
Whether he has the itch to fight again, is looking at the money or actually thinks he has figured out some extra techniques to give him an advantage it is fine in my book. I mean he knows better than anyone what his chances are I think.
I am always happy to watch him fight. I will buy those PPV's.

yea, he's going to get hurt. Its a title fight so he needs to avoid that jab for 5 rounds? I dont know, and sylvia's take down defense is underrated, or just unappreciated. this will end badly for randy

Randy is my favorite fighter, but I wish he had stayed retired. He had nothing to prove and I don't wanna see him get hurt. Legends like Coutre and sakaraba would make me happy by retiring, training people, commentating, and being MMA ambassadors. They shouldn't need the money, could make a lot doing the things I suggested if they did , and I don't want to see either one die in the ring .Like I said they have nothing to prove.

Randy is a fighter. Thats what he knoews best. It has only been a year since Chuck beat him and I think he still has all his talent. It will be a much better fight than most people realise.
Regarding legacy - Randy does not have that much to lose regarding this fight. Tim is a monster and no one will fault him if he loses. Randy is not Frank Shamrock

I like the fact the Randy is back. Let's face it, in the light-heavy weight division noone could beat Randy or Chuck. The were both hean and shoulders above the rest of the division. They are the only ones that could or can beat the other. Since, i believe Chuck would win this match up 7 out of 10 times, I'm glad Randy is bumping up. The Heavyweight Division is boring and lifeless. Randy can beat Silvia. Will he? I expect he'll come ready and although Silvia is a giant, Randy has been there before as a heavyweight. Silvia is powerful but obviously lacks the speed og Chuck so I don't think that will be a factor. I also don't believe Silvia can manage to stop Randy's takedown. If Randy gets you down and keeps you down, then I don't care who you are - you are done!

Randy and Joe Rogan should fight! Cpt. America gon surprise you guys when he chops that 6'8'' tree down. And Chuck DOES hit harder than Tim Sylvia. To prove it imgoin to petition a fight between Iceman and Cabbage!!! Chuck can show Tim how to knock that clown out.

Randy You show them !!!! I' am putting my money on You man! Win the Belt and then run for the hills . :)) I also think that Randy's chapter was not closed the way It should have been. I am not saying or trying to take anything from Chuck cause He's my no. 1 hero , but ... Hey , The Natural is a fighter a former champ. He needs to be there and I understand it. At least that one last one fight.

Randy's going to take tim out, it's just like the 1st randy vs chuck fight and the tito vs randy fight, no one thought randy would win , but he did, and he's going to win this fight and have 6 titles

Randy's a legend.. there's no doubt about it. But I questioned his return from retirement also. Especially how he got a title shot right off the bat after not fighting as a heavyweight for 4 years. I hope this fight is not going to tarnish his reputation.

Exactly my thinking too.
He was 'forced' out of the heavyweight division due to the size of the opponents, now he returns against the biggest?
It doesn't bode well.
