Well he signed a long deal with Elite so it will be a bit until he can fight solid competition that are in the UFC.

not gonna happen in the near future...at least not in WW...because he just signed an extension with Elite XC. most of the top WW talent is in the UFC and since he s going to be fighting w/ Elite XC, doesn't look like he will face top 5 talent anytime soon.
with that said i am a fan of shields and have always wanted him to join the UFC and get put to the test against true WW talent.

Why he signed an extension w/ XC is beyond me...maybe he's scared, or maybe the UFC has no interest.

Shields should be top 10 in most rankings... Yeah, he's scared.
He trains with Nick Diaz and Gil Melendez, Im pretty sure he's not scared.
