So Hughes is on the front cover and Serra is on the inside of the front cover?
Wait a minute...who's the champ again?

Not unless they are going to make a belt for "Guy Who Lost to Matt Serra" He could be champ of that...

I'd like Serra to win just because of his attitude. He is chilled and relaxed with people whereas Hughes is a hypocrite bully. Just based on what they have accomplished overall though Hughes seems to be the safer bet.
One thing though is Serra is always known for his BJJ not standup. So if Serra knocked out a guy who knocked out Hughes maybe just maybe his standup is there. Hopefully his skills are rounded out enough to deal with whatever Hughes throws at him.

First of all, Serra did not get lucky. I dont know how if a guy trains for months, shows up to fight, they ring the bell, and he executes that it is luck. I would like to see you tell Matt Serra to his face that he got lucky. That is just ridiculous.
Now with that being said, Hughes will probably be able to out wrestle Serra, which means much of this fight could take place on the ground with Hughes on top and Serra on bottom, but thats a strange situation here because Serra supposedly has the better submission game. So I gues the question is will Hughes be able to put a pounding on Serra and finish the fight when he gets there? Im not so sure he can because he will have to respect Serra's ability to tap him if he messes up.
Either way, it is this aspect of the fight that Im most interested to see how it plays out. I think its going to be a real competitive fight and I cant wait!!!

If I were Serra I'd be pissed not being on the cover but whatever. I don't want Serra to win even though he's pretty badass

Hughes is a total egomaniac and i could possibly see that being his downfall in this fight........In his head he is thinking hes going to destroy Serra......Whether or not he would admitt he is taking him lightly im sure he is so i could see Serra possibly coming away with a win...AT LEAST I HOPE SO!!!!

its only safe to say that if you can actually spell the word "say." and i wouldn't take anything for granted, considering that GSP threw your boy Hughes around "like a rag doll" and then kicked his face off (even on an off day he would dummy hughes) but then serra did his job and caught an unprepared GSP with some solid boxing. (something hughes has absolutely zero of by the way). if hughes even manages to lay and pray out some crap decision he is still going to be handing that belt over to GSP within a few months, or rather his trainer will hand it over while hughes lies face down on the canvas with EMT's swarming around him. and if he does get by serra, we can only hope GSP thumps him harder than ever for being such a pussy and cheering when GSP got caught because he wanted what he thought was an easier fight. that ******* coward. sooner or later hughes is gonna get shut up once and for all, and GSP may not even have to be the one to do it if hughes goes into the serra fight with such a big ******* head with no sense in it whatsoever.
