Sherdog.com recently caught up with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva to collect his thoughts on a second win over Rich Franklin , the No. 1 pound-for-pound ranking and the future of the 185-pound division, which The Spider has undoubtedly claimed as his own.

He's always classy. If he continues to work on his English, he would be a great ambassador for MMA in the US.

I agree completely. He seems to be very humble as well.

97 kgs = 213 lbs.
Is it just me, or is that unbelievable that Anderson Silva normally weighs that much? That's a HUGE weight cut for one, and for two he doesn't look to be near that big. I'm impressed!! That's 30+ lbs of weight cut

He has many similarities with Fedor:
- Confident, but not cocky - Doesn't talk trash - Respectful of opponents, before and after the fight - Trains his ass off - Comfortable and skilled anywhere the fight goes
Fedor has better game-planning (one of the best IMO) and Anderson has a bad ass stare-down at the weigh-ins.
EDIT: How funny would it be if he really talks sh#t and bad mouths everyone and it's just his translator who cleans it up for him??

I agree and I have made the comparison myself many-a-times that he is much like Fedor. Except obviously his striking dominates the MMA world, whereas Fedor's GnP and submissions do.
Edit- That would be fricken hilarious and I've also thought that same thing, haha. Maybe he should be getting paid as his translator and as his publicist
