Joe Rogan...he knows more about MMA than even Bas. Plus, you can understand him.

Mir knows more than Joe and has a clearer voice but Rogan has a lot more energy and gets excited about fights.

Bas Rutten! no doubt about that. No one on that list knows more than El Guapo when it comes down to fighting. Do you guys remember the early pride days when Bas and Stephen Quadros were doin the commentating?? Best commentator team ever.

Goldie and Joe Rogaine got nothin on Bas and Quadros.

I like Joe and Bas, but Joe is better for an American audience or at least he was. The fact that he had (has?) a show on prime-time television makes the UFC seem like more of a big deal.

I always liked Blatnick as a straight-man commentator as well.

Bas. Rogan knows MMA, but he is nowhere near as sharp or witty as Bas. Rutten has such an amazing depth of knowledge, he sees backdoors and houdini like escapes before they even happen. He knows every which to turn or roll to get out of a submission, or to lock it on. Rogan is decent but he doesn't see these things like Bas does.

Rogan also misses stuff too, even though he and Goldberg mostly watch through monitors, as Bas and Mauro did in Pride, and practically everyone else does, he still misses stuff and and Im wondering if he is gonna mention it, then he will see it in the replay or just not mention it at all. Like in the Sylvia / Vera fight the other night, the camera showed a long, focused close up of One of the fighters hooking his fingers into the wrist of the other guys glove (can't remember who was commiting the foul, I think it was Tim but don't quote me on that, I cant remember so I won't smear either guy) and Goldberg and Rogan never even noticed. That said, Goldberg is the worst for missing stuff, I'm sure he is a narcoleptic or something.

Joe is a talking head who "learned" about MMA

Bas is the real deal who "lives" MMA

If I have to hear Joe talk about "some next level JJ" again I'll puke
