IMO this fight could go either way but with vitors inconsistancy and lawlers new found calmness and willing to follow strategy to a T makes it semm like a lawler KO, but i wouldnt count out the phenom entirely.

yeah i didnt know this fight was happening
i really like vitor but he only tries his deadly combos early in a fight, after that it just seems he goes for the one hitter quitter
im gonna take lawler in this one
Lawler is not washed up, I honestly think that welterweight took a lot out of him physically and middleweight is working out much better for him, not to mention he is only 25.

This could be another fight that leads him back to the UFC IMO. A win vs Vitor and then if he could take out F Shamrock.... that would prove that there was no comp out there for him as a MW except in the UFC. 2 more Lawler, then you can come home!!!

I don't think Lawler is washed up, but I must agree that Vitor appears to be - at least on the display he put on in his last Cage Rage fight. He looks nothing like the Vitor of old - really poor and out of shape.

i hope the old Vitor with the fastest hands in mma is coming back and if he can make the drop to 185 he might be the one to dethrown Anderson Silva, although i really hope he stay at 205 and become a top contender again

it's all a metal factor for vitor, hes got the tool to dominated but "when the goin gets tough where does vitor go". plus with robbie new found trainin he gettin up there and with his aggression and power, alls he has do is keep the prssure on and vitor fads

I saw Robbie's last title defense vs. Shogun's li'l brother Ninja Rua. Lawler totally dominated the fight and Mario Yamasaki got roasted by both Rua's corner and Matt Hughes (who was in Lawler's corner) for not stopping the fight sooner. So Lawler by KO sometime in probably the 2nd round.

it was almost like if yamasaki wanted to have a dead in his cage !!

J get ur facts right lol... Ninja is Shogns older brother saddly... He's just not as tallented as his bro... but there ain't that many in the world as talented as Shogun.... at least when he's healthy and not fighting stupidly with an injury..... Anyways it would be a good fight if Vitor got back into shape, and actually brought his A game.... I mean he has an impressive past, I mean he KOed Wandli in like 49 seconds.... So's u can never count him out, he allways dangerous, and if he pushes action watch for a war.... but I don't even know if he could get down to 185....

crazy fight if it happens Belfort could easily make 185 lbs, Lawler has to watch out, i dont think he would survive a round with Vitor Beltor.

Two guys who are, in my opinion, washed up.
I can see you saying Vitor's washed up (even though he's only 29), but Robbie Lawler's 25 years old and has been looking more impressive lately than he ever did in the UFC. He was being touted as the next big thing in the welterweight division at one point in his UFC career, but he's clearly a better overall fighter now.

Their stand-up is about equal in mechanics lwler has the big KO power, and Belfort has/had amazing speed. It's all about who shows up......if it happens

Has anyone actually seen Belfort fight recently?
I really think lots of people are predicting a Belfort win purely based on his previous within the UFC. The guy is seriously out of shape these days, and simply doesn't exhibit 30% of the talent he used to. It's sad to say this, as I used to be a big fan of VB.
