Couture needs to get over his emotions and sit down with Dana already and settle this bull crap out already. It's really getting out of hand all these rumors that keep going around and you don't know who or what to believe.
It's ridiculous.

i am reading numbers and numbers like if the book of the ufc was open to everyone who want to look at !!
according to some, the ufc are receiving everthing free and all there profit are for there pockets !!! LOL

most of you are confusing this whole thing... Couture is not asking for more money.. this is not about the money... Randy showed his contract from the Tim Sylvia fight.... just to clear up all those allegations that he was making millions, i know, there is diferent points of view, but if all of you really watch the press conference i dont know why are some of you still complaining about it...
the way i see it is that this guy Kevin Iole, looked like an ass with his last article, and now he is just mad at couture.
I have a lot of respect for Randy Couture, and im glad he is doing all this things...

the only ppl i can se bitchin bout pay r the less known fighters since the champs and big names make 6 figures or close to it and ur gonna bitch when the avg income of nation is no where near that. randy prb should get paid more but i say even out the payin before certian ppl get 7 figures, boxin got to the point where they can afford to pay guys like holyfield, mayweather, & oscar 30 mill caue they r established. the nfl, nba, mlb are fukcin huge and bringin so much money that they can pay ppl and everyone knows bout them (not every avg joe knows all the starts in mma) i really dont think ufc is makin that much right now to be near that, and yes randy is immortal in my books but the world runs on money, and the lack of respect is cause he didnt get an extra check aka money, with his ppy cuts long with the 250k along with his camp along with his clothin line and catin i think he finacial is set(not mention is by far the most liked and respected guy in mma), and yes dana is still a duche and needs so manners since he does run a big company (dont see guys like trump, bill gates,etc... usin his lang) but this is a 2 way fight between randy and the ufc office both r at fault. I hope Ufc can hold payin some fighters redicluos amounts tell they go real main cause i can see money beein the downfall of mma.
That is true but business is like this...IF RANDY can push to get more. Then the market will show that it can bear more and more fighters will demand more and the average pay for all fighers will go up. This will benefit ALL fighters. But if the top guys are content to not DEMAND better WRITTEN contractual money then they will continue to be fed "bonus scraps" that may or may not be given to them based on the whims of an organization. So, just like all other sports, a top athlete being paid more is good for all the fighters/athletes because it changes the dynamics for the pay scale in negotiation.
And LET'S STOP using the argument that "they make more than us so they shouldnt' complain. Listen fellas, most of us have jobs that could be done for less in China, Mexico, and Japan. If your boss comes to you and says don't ask for a raise because you make more than people in China you'll look for another job. You get paid WHAT is FAIR in a market and what the market can bear.

If professional sports is professional sports then that means athletes do this to get paid. And we pay to be entertained. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH UFC TRYING TO MAKE MONEY. IN the same way THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH RANDY TRYING TO MAKE MONEY. THe difference here is, there is only one guy who is doing the entertaining--it aint Dana it's Randy. I pay to watch Randy NOT a UFC symbol. I don't care if Randy was fighting in a kiddie pool with FEDOR I'm buying that on PPV.
Pay the fighters what the market can bear. THat's the law of business. If not, let's call it COllege football.
i don't know...dana can be pretty entertaining at times

Matt Serra is way more entertaining in his cursing than Dana. Dana just swears like any other dumb drunk bastard in a bar. It's not even clever. Serra on the other hand is funny in his NY way.

i'm starting to think this is a whole big PR Stunt he is pulling to better hype the movie when it comes out. He is still under contract and unless he wants to loose a lot of money in court over this, he is going to come to an "agreement" with Dana. Then Randy can sit on all the $$$$$$ he made off the movie, finish his contract with the UFC, Fight Fedor for 1 last fight and finally retire. That is how I see this whole thing play out !
