Ace only made 1,000 more than Bonnar WTF?????

Dana said in the post fight press conference that Rich will be with the UFC for a long time well he better start paying him more if he wants that to happen. Anderson should have made more then Tim. After all he was the main event, defended his title, and faught in his opponents home town.

Actually Silva did make more than listed, not noted in the figures is the $40K he earned for "KO Of The Night:". Sylvia only got $200K because he won, otherwise it would've been $100K for him and the $200K would've been for Vera instead.

How did Sylvia make more than Silva? Also, are the Fight of the Night/Sub of Night, KO of Night bonuses added to these figures?

I don't think so, they were awareded on top of these. Can't remember who won what, but they're listed beneath the figures in the original article.

Ace made $1000 more to show and lose than Bonnar made to show and win.

Bonnar makes $22,000 per fight, plus a $22,000 win bonus
Rich makes $45,000 to show, and $45,000 if he had won.

I get sick everytime I read those figures...its absolute robbery.

Main event fighters should be pulling money from the PPV sales and undercard guys should be making a MINIMUM of at least 10,000, and probably more.

Ditto sponsor money and other unreported bonuses that UFC doesn't have to disclose.

The OAC also announced that the attendance for 77 was 16,054.

So, let's just say this-

16,054 people attend (Very conservative estimate) at 200$ a ticket = 3,210,800 dollars in ticket sales

Last year there were several UFC's that had over 500,000 PPV buys So, $50 a buy x 500,000 = 25,000,000 dollars in PPV buys. Not to mention the fact that the UFC gets paid sponsorship for dropping business names, etc. during broadcasts.

So, at LEAST 28million dollars (remember, very conservative estimates) for one UFC event, and you've still got only 600,000 in payouts? Where's the other 27.4 million dollars going? Probably a couple mil to the event center it's held at, a couple mil to all the people who work for the UFC, etc. I'd say you've at least got a good 5-10 mil (if not 15) there that isn't going anywhere besides straight into the pockets of the fertittas and their boys. Meanwhile guys are putting their ******* health on the line, and dedicating their lives to the most intense sport around, and yet they're only pocketing a couple thousand bucks? Screw those payout numbers and screw anybody who talks about "PPV bonuses" making up for it. Go train for a few months spending all your time punishing your body, paying out thousands of dollars a month for proper training, nutrition and doctor's bills for training injuries and then talk about "PPV bonuses" I'm sick of seeing these numbers.

For the record I'm not talking about guys like Liddell who pull in hundreds of thou a fight. I'm talking about your undercard guys who work just as hard and sacrifice/risk just as much and make literally 1/100th of the amount of money.
