that fedor is a legit #1 now...everybody was taking him off cause he ddint sign with the ufc..but from wat ive just read in the news section fedor himself put a clause in his contract with M-1 so he can fight the UFC champs AND for MORE MONEY!!!u see i guess there is a method to his madness..fedor and his managers are smarter than they seem to some.they no wat there doing...as for dana i dont really see him cooperating with M-1 just beacause hes to proud to let his fighters get paid 1 MILLION dollars more than hes gonna pay them...in all seriousness i can see a majority of the ufc fighters going to M-1 simply because of the financial attractiveness of the company
I cant wait to see wat happens....

not really the..one of the main reasons randy even resigned is because he thought he was getting underpaid for being the heavywieght champion and was disrespected...come on to say that im dreaming?..ha thats a little to much..it is VERY possible that M-1 looks attractive to alot of ufc fighters simply because (which ive already posted) of its financial assets it has to offer

Surley theres no way danas going to let fedor fight in the ufc now hes signed with m-1 regardless of what clauses hes got in his contract? Id be very very suprised if he did, he thinks fedor messed the ufc about and dana seems to be a very stubborn man. I guess well find out soon enough though.

well, sorry man,
you are giving too much power to a new organization who has only 1 good fighter, it is simply too much for me.
you sound like everything is already done and they are at the same level of the ufc !!
maybe in 10 years, but not now man !!!
they will burn there moneys much faster that they are thinking, i am under the impression that the ppv money will not be so good, unless they put fedor / couture.
but , couture is under contract and you can not simply said that he will fight fedor because of the money.
even if he want to, he will have to be release of his contract and it will take a very long and hard fight with the ufc to be release like that !!

Fedor fought for Bodog and they pose no threat to the UFC nor did they attract alot of top level fighters.

I think they will be bankrupt before too long. It was a valiant effort though.
Montie Cox was talking about it and saying that they were gonna broadcast the first few events of theirs live on TV.... not PPV. I think that is a great move... but unless they are being backed by ever cent Bill Gates owns... they won't be able to afford to pay top level fighters enough to make them leave other orgs with no PPV revenue. The PPV is the UFC's bread and butter... how they make a majority of their money.

If they become a major player I think Dana will let it happen. He sent Liddel to PRIDE and brought Royce over to fight Hughes when he was under contract with K-1.I think even if Dana was against it,I could see the Feiritta's (spell check) making it happen somehow.

Not only did Fedor fight in Bodog and have it attract no other fighters...but it didnt attract fans.
Honestly Bodog is a really bad promotion with very little talent. I mean Strikeforce and K1 Heroes is way ahead of it and Elite XC and Cage Rage are also better imo along with the IFL.
Im sorry but M-1 or whatever the hell they are called are dreaming. Fedor imay be the best heavyweight in the world but there is no way he is going to draw any money by fighting no name heavyweights or guys in lower weight classes. The only way people will watch Fedor is if he fights Barnett or Couture, the only superstar heavyweights on the free agent market.
I dont care if Fedor fights some European no name heavyweight or TUF flunkie the M-1 would try to sign...they need A LOT more

Hm Randy could. And i get the feeling Barnett was holding out to see where Fedor signed.

Fedor arguably isn't #1 because he hasn't fought in awhile, it has nothing to do with not fighting in the UFC, that just supplanted people's opinions.

They've been around for a long time already, they have a fan base in Russia and Japan instantly with the signing of Fedor, so they will be able to get those two markets with one signing. The UFC makes a ton of money on live events as well as their ppv's, so woulden't worry. Also Monte Cox is the biggest mma agent around and he will be luring his clients from other orgs(since he'll get to negotiate them for less since he won't take a comission from them if they sign with his org). The UFC will not die either, this is just good competition, like the UFC and Pride without the mismanaging hopefully.

come on now guys you act as though the UFC is payin there fighters huge amounts of money..well isnt money one of the reasons randy left??..and i think i read somewhere that jardine only made $44k for his fight with liddell...and he WON...M-1 is now dumb little company that formed itself just like that...theyve been around and kno how to manage there money
