well, i will go with karo, but my main reason is not his judo skill, witch is very good, but i think he will win because he is training at xtreme couture , witch it seem to be the place to improve your skill in every ways. look att forrest, and griffin and even bonnar, well we will see for bonnar next week, and of course couture himself .
i am no sure if karo is still at xtreme couture but he was for his last fight.

Lets not forget Chonan has a win over Anderson Silva, and he did it with the best submission I have ever seen in my life...
Chonan is also used to fighting people at 185 lbs (Baroni, Silva, etc...) so he could possibly give Karo problems in the clinch as he is most likely going to be a bit stronger than him..
All in all though I still see Karo winning, he has improved a lot in the UFC... but you never know you cannot count a guy like Chonan out..
Guess we will have to wait and find out.

Karo is one of my favorites, but I think his Judo might play right into Chonan's strength. Chonan likes to counter and if he can read one Karo's Judo throws, I think he can secure an arm and win by tapout.
I think Chonan actually might take this by submission.

I agree with Kastro. While Chonan is used to fighting a little bigger guys, Karo himself is a big 170 pounder. And I'm sure he trains with big guys. But most of Chonans fights have been at 185, so we'll see if Ryo has some strength on Karo. Maybe he will, maybe he wont.
I think Chonan is the better striker (he out-boxed Anderson Silva in their fight, he got the better of Silva on the ground and on the feet - that's impressive,) and I also think Chonan is the better jiu jitsu guy. Karo is just good at everything, though, but I really see Chonan winning this fight.
I think this fight will be a war. It'll be a good scrap as both are good at ground and pound, both are good at sweeps and pretty much every aspect of the ground game, and both are willing to stand and throw bombs.
I wouldn't be surprised if Karo won, but I'm leaning toward Ryo. Just because I like watching Ryo fight a hell of a lot more than Karo.
But, when it comes time for me to pick who I think is going to win, I'm sure my pick will change twenty times before the fight happens.
