In a recent interview with the Hungarian newspaper Vercenji, Mirko Cro Cop said that, among other things, he wants to fight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira next.

Article

Could still be a good fight but it likely won't happen until 2008 unless something falls through with the Nogueira-Kongo fight at UFC 79.

No, No, No, No, NO!!!

He's coming off 2 losses and probably has no confidence. Give him somebody no developed yet because if hes focused he'll kill him. He needs to win 2 more before he even thinks of Big Nog. Because if he shows up like the last two fights then he'll get taken down and submitted quickly...

come on cro cop, THINK!!!

Lol when's the lest time you saw Cro Cop with no confidence? He's always going to have it even if he's 80 and can't lift his leg. Cro Cop isn't planning on fighting until February of 2008 at the earliest so this could happend if Nog beat Kongo. Cro Cop wants someone he knows is a very very good fighter so he's there 100% mentally prepared for that particular guy.

Crocop should fight brad imes or ausserio sylva to try and make his striking look good again before he thinks he's able to hang with the top end again.Start from the bottom and work up the division, with two losses, for my money crocop is at the rock bottom of that division, nog is 2nd or 3rd at the top.
Nice try crocop, you need to prove yourself first son !!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, but then Chucks bottom to. I don't think either are since they've had a career of beating top competition.

Going to the bottom is unwarranted. I had a friend to me say the other day "why in fighting, does it seem like as soon as a guy has one or two losses everyone gives up on him?" All I could say is idk, that's why I'm on the WarWagon.

And warmup fights don't work, we've all seen that. Either a guy can fight on a certain level or he can't. Or look at it the other way, if they want to get rid of CC, give him to Nog as a "feeder". If he loses he's gone, if he wins he's back in the thick of it.

Exactly, and Nog's not going to go in there thinking "this guys lost two in a row why should I fight him" like some others may thing. Nog has the utmost respect for Cro Cop, and likewise. Cro Cop's striking should be getting to the tip top again training with Golden Glory, and i've heard there is no more Cro Cop Team, so he seems poised to be training exclusively in Holland(decent kickboxers come from there I guess).

i believe CC should face AA. it would be great for CC to win over AA, and they both seem to be around the same point in the division. despite CC's last few fights, anyone should be honored to face him for he is definitely still one of the best in the division. If CC wins, then he is back in the title picture, and AA only has 1 fight left on his contract anyway, and based on the ufc's recent actions, i don't think they are close to signing a new one; so...why not go out with a bang? if you beat CC, that is definitely a win to remember and i see both fighters putting on a great show in this fight. i would love to see this fight happen, maybe during the superbowl weekend.

Whether he wants him or not,he has not right to ask for him. Never mind whether Cro Crop should or shouldn't fight some one on the bottom of the devision. He should have to. Two losses in a row doesn't earn the right to fight Nog or AA.

DOn't get me wrong, Cro Crop is the man. I just think he needs to earn his fights.

Cro Cop have to fight one more (Gonzaga) to win then face Big Nog......not likely happen.

Hope Cro Cop won't earn a match for HW title vacant after Couture left.

I agree, chuck now with 2 losses, should be at the bottom of the pile.
