Drew Fickett has signed up to a 3 fight deal and will fight on December 1st at the EliteXc presents Cage Rage 24 show. Drew has stepped up to the plate and will take on veteran Mark Weir in what promises to be an absolute war. Drew comes off the back of a win in the UFC and is a well rounded fighter who has been in the cage with some of the top names in MMA and more than held his own. Mark is coming off the Daley loss and will be looking to restore himself as the number contender in this weight division. This fight has all the makings of a classics!

Its really weird the UFC let him go coming off a win! i think he was 4-3 in the UFC and a very good gatekeeper for the WW division, oh well, will make for some good fights in CR then

Good move by cage rage there. Hopefully we'll start to see it move in another direction under eliteXC, as it was becoming embarrasing, some of the fights they were showing were ridiculous. More fighters like Drew Fickett and less like Julius Francis can only be a good thing!!!

This will definately help Cage Rage. The need some more good fighters. I agree with the post above that Ficket was a good gatekeeper for the WW division, but he wasn't going anywhere in that division, due to the large talent pool. He should be able to do really well w/Cage Rage. "The Master" was coming off a win, true, but look at the few fights before that. I think this is a good move for both parties, Cage Rage gaining some talent, and the UFC clearing some more room for some new talent. However, I think Zuffa should've got him to sign w/ the WEC. He would've did well there as well, and Zuffa would've still profited from his fights.

Fickett need to be fighting in the UFC. He is a scrappy fighter that will has proven that he likes to bang it out. Get that guy on TUF and show the fans how nuts this guy is.... in and outside the cage.

Fickett always seemed to bring it. He beat KOS and F'd up Karo's face I like the kid. I think he's better then Marcus Davis who is (acording to MMAweekly) ranked tenth in the world. Oh well, as long as he keeps fighting and winning we will see him back.

Nice move for the EliteXC guys....I think Zuffa lost a good one there. The other brand is starting to make me watch more and more.
