I have been in about 50 fights since the 6th grade. it started because i had long hair (i am native american) and i got teased a lot. i use to fight people older then me because i was beating the guy's my age. i am a humble person, mostly shy so i don't brag. but i've been a few scraps. i got my ass kicked about 8 times other then that i've beatin wrestler's, boxers, and people who train mma. just wondering if i am so fasinating with mma today because of a ****** up childhood? (don't worry i got my act together, i am now deployed in the armed services)

I've had about 3 street fights, one was bad I got 6 months of probation, 20 hrs of community service, and luckily he had insurance or else I would've had to pay 8,000 in medical bills (boken cheek bone, required surgery for him).

i had a lot of people make fun of me to, but i aways though it takes a stronger persons to walk away from a fight. ive been in some street fight before because i had to, not to show i was tough, so im glad to hear you are not fightin in the streets anymore, and if anyone is readin this that does street fight plz stop because a street fight dont have a ref or rules someone can shot, stab or kill you so plz stay got of troulbe

I don't think so. I have been in one REAL street fight.. not counting the little scraps we get into with other kids in school becasue they looked at your girl friend or something like that. It was bad some of my friends say I won, some say I lost... I say I learned a major lesson from it (Don't get into a f'ing street fight again stupid) I am calling myself stupid just to make things clear. I don't think you are into MMA becasue of your childhood (my mom is a head shrink) not that this makes me one, but ... I love MMA and again only one true street fight under my belt (not proud of that at all). I was into MMA before this fight, and wanted to fight (not MMA) after seeing the Karate Kid. Do not read too much into why you like something. By the way I love death metal, heavy metal... rap, and all other kids of "bad" music... Damn maybe my childhood was messed up too..... just kidding. But like two others said if you realy think it is due to your childhood then check that link out.

mostly ive been into many street fights when i was a teen. i hung around with ppl who i thought was my family. i was an ex gang member of the bloods and yes ive seen and been through drive by's. it was bad seeing your closest friends being killed either with a knife or a gun. i was a troubled teen serving time in juvi for assault. but now my life has completely turned around i no longer am affiliated with gangs. i cant spend my whole entire life in jail not knowing i can do something with my life.violence doesn't solve anything it just makes it worst.

I have been in a few fights.. Interestingly enough, more after high school than during. My record is hardly impressive... with 8 fights total, I would say that I have decisively won 2 of them - 4 would be a draw in my book - and 2 were beatings that I received.

I am not a big guy, so the fighting thing is more interesting to me on the sporting level than out on the street. I think the older you get, you start to realize how dangerous a fight can be between 2 adults and the potential fallout from what started as a fight between 2 "consenting" adults.

Anyway, I don't know that fighting means much, I think it is just important to stand up for yourself. I try to tell my kids this... especially in school, you can't let someone ridicule you or push you around... unless you want it to continue forever.

Push back and 90% of the people in the word will back down. The other 10%, well... I guess you may need to fight them. (hands up, chin tucked..)
