At least Houston showed, in that video, that he has a pretty decent sprawl ...

I wonder how come so many people hate houston alexander
anyway
This video is when houston alexander was an amateur fighting at a sports bar in iowa lol
I heard he claimed he has fought 200 times, which in all reality i believe. Most of those fights were non sanctioned at a place called toad hollar in des moines iowa
he would fight several times a night and his fights would never last more then a few punches since most of the people he fought were just drunks or first time mma fighters or people who had never fought ever
Im sure he went into this fight expecting to knock this guy out and take his little paycheck and go back to st louis or wherever he lives
side note around this time he also lost a decision with josh neer who has never competed higher then 170 lbs

Seriously though guys this crazy Houston nuthugging is just mental .................. where has it even come from? i know it was rife after the Jardine fight but why would the Sakara fight back it up???? Sakara was never that great and fought a really stupid fight, ok the guy hits hard, lets get Tank back in the UFC then! they have equal cardio (he sounded like he was ready to keel over in his post fight interviews ffs!!) no wrestling, presumably poor BJJ, and is now up his own ass believing his own hype
Ive seen people wanting to see him fight Chuck?Wandy/Rampage honestly believing it would be very competative!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!! why are you basing this on a 48 second fight against Jardine who didnt defend well in the clinch and a 2nd fight against a weak chinned average fighter, i admit he hits hard and is good in the clinch but he loses the fight in every other area tbh, Thiago Silva will show him for what he is
Agreed. People tend to forget that Jardine also nearly KO'd him in the first minute of their fight before Houston turned it around.
As for why the Houston dislike, I think there are two main reasons. The huge amount of underserved (subjective, I suppose) hype around him and his attitude. As was stated already, he came across as a complete thug after he KO'd Jardine.
