Cuban Judo specialist Hector Lombard is unable to obtain a visa for his 170-pound showdown with Karo Parisyan at UFC 78: “Validation” on November 17, according to Sherdog.com.

I was really looking forward to see Lombard in the UFC. So Cubans aren't allowed to visit the US???? Sounds ridiculous if you ask me....
UFC should hold an event in Cuba then cuz I really want to see Lombard in the big leagues  .

That would be a WAR!!!! There stand up is around the same level so that would be a haymaker war and there ground games will keep them on there feet because Kos will be shooting and Karo will use his judo to stay off his back and Kos would use his wrestling and good balance to keep from being judo throwed, WHAT A FIGHT THIS WOULD BE!!! DANA DO IT!!!!

why fitch...fitch deserves a shot at the title right after GSP...i dont think fitch needs to prove himself anymore so putting him up against karo is just a waste of time

The only thing I disagree with is KARO DOESENT NEED TO DO OR BEAT ANYONE ELSE....
So what he lost to the best WW in the world and loss to Diego because he gased. He dominated Burkman at 71 and I think Fickett at the last UFN he was in?
He earned a title shot and got injured. Shat happens. Him and Fitch should face off for #1 contendership because they both have been overlooked and thrown to the wolves...

even if karo and fitch faced off, i dont think that would be number one contender match because gsp would have to be in that match. imo contender match is gsp vs fitch. karo is a great WW, but he is two fights away from the belt. the only problem with having him face kos or even rematch w/ diego (which i would love to see) is that both of them recently had fights and it would be a little short notice for either fighter. honestly, the ufc is in a pinch right now and i think there really isn't anything they can do but make karo fight in 79.

Diego is out the title contention, for now. GSP is waiting for his rematch. Koscheck's record isn't as impressive as Fitch's or Karo's. So, I think it should go:

Hughes vs Serra ----- Winner fights GSP
Fitch vs Karo ----------- Winner gets title shot after GSP
Kos ----------------------- Faces loser of Fitch vs Karo (Winner gets next title shot)

.This way GSP gets a title shot. Then Fitch or Karo gets a shot. Then Fitch, Karo, or Kos gets a shot. I tried to keep it simple, but it got a little confusing.
