So are we going to see this guy again, or is Dana pissed off at him for not making weight against Anderson Silva? I want to see this guy back in the mix. Out of all the guys Silva has beaten since he joined the UFC, Lutter came the closest (bar far) to actually beating him. If Franklin beats Silva (which is more possible them most people think) then Lutter is one of the few, top middleweights out there that Franklin hasn't beaten. I'm not saying give him another title fight chance right away, but at least throw him back in there as a gate keeper. The Middlewight Div. can really use a guy like Lutter in there to make it a deeper weight class. Does anyone know what his status is? I'm out of the loop on the dealings of Travis Lutter.

I believe he's still legit pissed. He actually was to have fought in a prelim on a recent UFC event but that fell through for some reason (I think it was an injury).

Dana White seems like a pretty unforgiving guy to me.Once you piss him off,he's very hard to get back on your good side.Which could work against him one day.If he burns to many bridges,it might come back on him one day.But then again,I don't think i have ever seen Dana get pissed for a pointless reason.

What I dont understand is that how can he be that pissed at Lutter when Joe Riggs didnt make weight for his title shot against Hughes at 56 and then they invited him back to fight at 57.

I think he will fight again Riggs was also used to fighting at heavyweight so he had a hard time getting used to the weight dropping lutter has pretty much always been the same weight so he shouldnt have had that isssue

Well Lutter was supposed to fight Ryan Jensen at UFC 74 if u remebmber, but pulled out due to a neck injury and I bet Dana is still mad, but the Middleweight Division is weak and Dana always forgives his beloved TUF stars so we'll see...I think Lutter will be back maybe on a prelim or sumthin

Wasn't Riggs a last minute replacement? It seems hard for me to believe that the Joe Riggs of that time did enough to warrant a title shot. If it's true, then you can't blame Riggs for not making weight.

Im sure Dana is ticked. What moron cant make weight for a title shot! Also in his interviews, hes seems very emo and pitys himself. He says his friends convinced him to go on TUF, so if you cant motivate yourself in this sport, you best just disappear.

yes he was. Hughes was originally scheduled to fight Karo Parisyan but Karo hurt his neck or something like a week before the fight.
And I for one hope we never see Travis Lutter in the UFC again.

He needs to go to WEC and Paulo Fhilo needs to come to the UFC becuase he will whoop Anderson's ass and Lutter would most likely LNP until finally crakcs off a submission everybody in the WEC...

Then it's no wonder Joe didn't make weight. Unless your constantly working out to keep your weight low, then in a week your not going to get your weight to where it needs to be. The new Joe Riggs might've won that fight, by the way. He looks like Diego Sanchez looked like in his fights with Diaz and Parisyan.. And that is a beast.
