Since joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Clay Guida has put on some of the most exciting fights the lightweight division has ever seen. Now he gets a chance to ply his craft in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter Finale on Dec. 8, as he faces popular fighter Roger Huerta.
“I think it was more timing that anything,” said Guida of his sudden rise to main event status. “I was out at Ultimate Fight Night a couple weeks ago at the Palms and Joe Silva approached me and mentioned it. It sounded like a good fight for the both of us. This has fight of the year written all over it.”
“Fight of the year” indeed, as both Guida and Huerta have been involved in bouts that left fans muttering such words.

i think this has fight of the year all over it as this will be one of the fastest paced fights in mma history. i can't wait for this match-up as huerta is probably one of the most entertaining fighters to watch and so is guida. this one will probably end in the last round or go to a decision. anticipate fireworks on the TUF finale courtesy of these two warriors. Prediction: Huerta wins by split decision.

Sometimes I fear these fights because it gets blown up and then never explodes in the cage. The fighters end up having too much respect for each other and refuse to take the risks that they are known for and that make them the greats that they are. I just hope this isn't a let down.

you are 100 percent correct with your reasoning, for too many times has that happened in the ufc, but i think that it is unlike both of these fighters to fight cautiously. no matter how much these fighters respect each other, i think they will both go for broke and put on an excellent performance. huerta and guida aren't the kind of fighters who fight differently based on the caliber of their opponent.

  dude seriously?
I dont even think its likely to be a fight of the year candidate either cos for that it has to be really competative, Clay will dominate the much overrated Huerta, this aint no gimme ufc debutant like his other 5 fights, Evans outwrestled Huerta and Clay will do the same ten fold! Huertas lack of KO power gives him zero chance to win imho
