That fight right there means you should buy this pay per view...

plus every other fight on the card could be FOTN on any other card....

Yeah. Great fight.

This Alexander really is a mystery. Before KOing Jardine I think he had one fight in the last two years in a small show. he never fought anyone with a 'name' let alone beat them. How did he get the Jardine fight to begin with??? Although I'm glad he did. Is Joe Silva a genius?? did the UFC know how tough this guy was or were they just getting Jardine what they thought was an easy win (they don't do that very often- unless your name is Huerta- and even if they did Jardine doesn't seem like the guy they would do that for).

Anyway, this should be awesome.

Alexander had way many more fights than that. He had, according to him, 200+ fights over the past 7 years. I would have to go digging for the article to get it quoted exactly. He fought mainly in the Midwest (Neb., Iowa) and he said pretty much every weekend. His fight nights usually consisted of 3-4 fights that night.

You are coorect in the lack of a "name" opponent before the UFC came calling.

If you watch Thiago vs Irvin, Thiago got rocked by Irvin before the injury, I think that is a good sign at the future....another Houston KO in the first.

i hope this fight goes to the ground for a litle bit so we can see if houston can back up his claim. imo i don't think it will last long enough for a ground game to bee seen as houston will mow through him, but it would be nice to see him on the ground for a bit. houston needs to fight a big name, even though silva is undefeated, like griffin or even jardine at this point. can't wait to see how this fight goes because i could be totally wrong and silva can very well walk away with a win.

If houston wins this fight in a similar fashion to his others, they're gonna give him as a tuneup fight to a top contender. I still dont think that griffin and jardine qualify as top contenders yet though.
