Former light heavyweight contender Renato “Babalu” Sobral has signed a three-fight deal with the quickly-developing Canadian promotion Hardcore Championship Fighting according to manager Ken Pavia. Now the Brazilian will be featured in both the North and South - San Jose-based Strikeforce announced the signing of the 32-year-old at their event last Saturday at the Playboy Mansion.

C'mon guys....you know he is just trying to rack up as many wins and as quickly as possible so that he can get back into the UFC. If he goes on another 10 win streak then I would bet they would accept him back with open arms considering that the fight he got banned for wasn't even viewed and the herd doesn't even know it happened.

Ya I agree, I think we will definatly see him back in the UFC in a year or so (As long as he doesn't go into a big loosing slump). I don't think Dana had any choice but to get rid of him after the late choke release, they are really trying to promote something other than backyard brawls. Once things have calmed down I would expect, and hope to have him back, he's a very skilled and exciting fighter with a big fan base. Makes sense for everyone.
