Mauricio “Shogun” Rua recently had surgery on his left knee to repair his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) according to a statement from his publicist, Julio Heller.
Dr. Mario Namba, the chief doctor for the Brazilian Gymnastic Confederation, performed the surgery. Namba has also treated Shogun’s former Chute Boxe teammate Wanderlei Silva.

haha you gotta read the article first guys ^^
"It was not revealed just how long it will be before Shogun will be able to return to the Octagon, but WebMD.com indicates that a typical time frame for a return to normal activity or sports is 6 to 12 weeks."
