Anyone seen the interview with him on sherdog.com?
Joe Rogan on Sherdog.com

The guy just comes off as a great guy and a great ambassador for the sport. He even says he is an MMA fan before he's an employee of Zuffa.

At UFC 67 he almost helped market Pride by talking about all their great fighters and how big it is to win their GP. It did feel like everything he said was coming from him and not from the UFC.

He's a great commentator as well IMO but often gets bashed on forums anyway for no apparent reason.

Yeah, that;s what makes him a good commentator IMO. There's lot's of guys with knowledge, he just seems like a fan who lucked into his dream job.

His energy makes the fights exciting, similar to what Bas did with Pride. When Joe is out "on assignment" it simply is not as fun.

Pride has not been the same since Bas left.

I agree about Bas, wish his english was a little better, but he definately brought genuine enthusiasm to Pride's PPV's

Yeah Rogan has got knowledge about the sport. He was commentated for years, is a Black belt in TKD, and something like a brown belt in BJJ under Eddie Bravo
