I kind of hate Swick for dropping weight because I don't think he is willing to fight his teammates, making it very pointless.

If Sanchez decides to drop weight, Swick, Fitch, and Koscheck have to fight each other eventually. Hughes is deciding to retire, I doubt Serra will last very long, and BJ is going to stay at 155lbs for awhile.

Aside from GSP, the only other decent welterweight fighters out there (off the top of my head) to fight are Parisyan, Davis, Alves, Fickett, and Lytle. I have no idea where Fickett and Lytle are these days, and there are a few other good welterweights but they have been inactive. Swick, Fitch, and Koscheck better get ready to fight each other.

I think Thiago Alves would be a great fight , I would take Thiago because he is a Muay Thai Champ and he has a better ground game than Swick but it would be intertaining

Swick should not let the loss to Okami get to him and stay at 185. Middleweight is weak right now and there aren't too many contenders after Franklin. If Swick stayed and got a two more wins he would be in line for a title shot. Welterweight isint going to do much for Swick. Middlewieght we could see Cote vs. Swick which would be a standup war. Maybe Leben will agree to fight him again. Also Swick vs. Macdonald would be an interesting fight as well.

They could play up the fight they had on TUF and both are coming off losses. Ideal I think.

Two words: Jeff Joslin.

As for the team mates thing, if it came down to determining the next for a title shot, I believe they would fight each other. They train with each other, and some people say that, that sometimes is more difficult than fighting, so hey, maybe.

Good call. Jeff would be a good fight and a good chance (if Jeff won) for him to secure himself as a good fighter.

However, the UFC might think of it a step down for Swick since Jeff is not well known.

Yea i think WW is going to get a lot crappier when some of the guys leave the division, like hughes, bj, and sanchez. I believe that the WW division is going to get some what like the mw division, cuz i bet some of the good WW fighters are going to drop weight.... I hope penn comes back up. I think the only good fighters in WW right now is Fitch, GSP, AND Pariysan, Hughes, if serra wins his next fight then he is definitly up there with these guys.

But anyways back to the swick debut, i thought leben would be an excellent fight for him, i hope he fights Lytle or Davis...

I hear what you guys are saying about Swick having a better chance in a less stacked division (middleweight), but the problem is once he gets past the pretenders, the elite guys in that division are just to much for a smaller guy like Swick. Okami, Franklin, and Silva are all capable of fighting at 205, but could you imagine Swick fighting Someone like Houston Alexander, or Wanderlei Silva? If you can see him being competative against thoes guys, you have a better imagination then me. At welter weight, he may have to worry about starting at the back of a long line, but at least he can see daylight at the end. Meaning he has the capability of beating anyone he faces at 170, where I just don't see that at 185. I'm not saying he is going to be the future WW champ, but it seems more realistic then the MW champ, especially becuase he wasn't all that far off in MW.

O yeah, and I think he should debut against.....I don't no, Luke Cummo sounds good. He should fight soon though whatever it ends up happening.

It's not really a step down, seeing as Swick has yet to prove himself in the WW division. Had the Goulet fight gone through, now that would've been a step down.

It should still be Goulet i think, he crap talked his way into that fight and was all pi**ed off when Swick got injured, he should realise he escaped a brutal KO, my weak chin needs to get KTFO and is a very good debut fight for Swick

But anyone would be good and id pick Swick over, Alves is out as he is fighting Chonan, the UFC badly need to get Condit and Shields in there!!!
