I don't know about that though, everyone thought Cro Cop would kill him, he didn't, everyone thought Shogun would kill Forrest, he didn't, pride fighters are overrated. Not to say the fights over in japan weren't great, It's just starting to look like they're on a lower level the UFC fighters. If Nog looks anything like he did against Herring he's gonna get crushed by Kongo's knees.

well, if you start to choose you picks by who upset who, you will find yourself in the bottom of the ranking very fast.
the statistic will always be your best friend, and the statistic are that normally the best fighter win the fight.
of course we all saw the upset of the last 2 or 3 events but it is just a variation in the graphic, and if you look at all the graphic , you will find that the upset are very rare, and the fact that some upset have been very close one of others is not going to change to final result at the end of the season.

I would love to say that Nog will submit Kongo in the first round and then go on to face Randy....
but all these upsets make me so hesitant to pick Nog, who should be the heavy favorite, especially because Kongo looks confused on the ground. If Kongo wins, it will be in the first round. If he takes a page out of Herring's book he could take the fight, as long as he can finish when he has the chance, unlike Herring. Once the second round starts, I think Kongo's window of opportunity will have shut.

Kongo would probably hurt Nog on the feet in the 1st round and then Nog decides to take it to the ground and submit Kongo in the 2nd. That's how I picture it, but crazier things have happened lately.

My thoughts exactly. I mean Nog took one of the dirtiest shots from Herring and kept going I do not think Kongo will KO him so Nog by Sub late first to mid second.

Its hard to pick someone if its stays on the feet Kongo if it goes to the groud Nog, just cause of the recent backluck of the Prides guys i think Congo could win but shi knowns right.

First of all, Pride fighters are not overrated. If you sent the UFC fighters to the ring, it might be different. They are in a new world with the cage, give them a break. If anything, Pride used to be better than the UFC so don't say it's over-rated. That's just ludicrous. Yeah, we've seen most of the fighters from Pride fail in the octogon but give them more time. If Shogun fights to his abilities, no one, and I mean no one, can stop him in the LHW division. If Fedor comes, he'll dominate the HW division. I think Couture would give him a run, and maybe even suprise some people. However, we haven't even seen a fraction of the fighters from Pride fight in the UFC yet so I wouldn't say that they're over-rated. I don't like the people that constantly suck Pride's as* but I have to defend it. They had better events to, as far as the production value. They also paid fighters better and the fans weren't spoiled as* little bitches like Americans can be sometime, booing when the fight goes to the ground and stuff. That's stupid. People need to learn what MMA is and then realize that wrestling and bjj are part of the sport. At Pride, 45, sometimes even 50,000 fans would show up. The UFC gets hardly half that. Thay had some great fans. We have fans that boo. If you have the balls to get in the cage, and are good enough to be in the UFC, then you have my respect, and unless you're laying and praying or avoiding action, I'm not going to boo. Sorry, got off on a little tangent here.

Nog went to a decision against Herring... and Herring's ground game looked poor against O'Brien. I'm honestly surprised that Herring has won fights via submission after the way he looked against O'Brien. That being said... Nog couldn't submit Herring... I think Kongo is a far superior striker than Herring.
I have Kongo by late 1st or early 2nd round KO/TKO
