I gotta go with Silva on this one. The only way Franklin can do damage is if he can control Silva on the ground and GnP him. ...but I just don't see that happening. Silva is great standing and better than Franklin on the ground.

Both fighters fought twice since their bout right? Well first of all, Silva finished his opponents, the longest being 2 rounds, while Franklin "finished" one after the 2nd round and won a unanimous decision against Okami which really wasn't a great fight at all. Franklin just did more, but until the fire was lit under Okami....then Yushin owned the 3rd round.....whereas Silva finishing 2 opponents, especially since both supposedly had the strengths to Silva's "weak" ground game, but he overcame.....
Silva just has been impressive where Franklin has not. Franklin does not have the ability Silva has, he is good, but good against the level of competition thus far...

I don't get why people question silva's ground game, he took a bit of punishment against lutter but wasn't hurt at all and caught him in a really nice triangle, and Nate coulden't do much against him there. I'm thinking repeat (to the dismay of my brother in law), except for the first round silva's not going to get close to rich.

Rich is training hard for this fight,Rich is the bigger fighter and i see him doing something with that this fight. Rich has great power in his hands but the last fight he didnt do much of anything. Rich will push this fight and i see this fight going into the later rounds and Rich will not gas but the champ atm may not do so well with his gas tank, a bigger guy that is going push you like i see Rich pushin the pace is going be hard to handle but this is just IMO

I read the other day that Rich was going to an undisclosed location for the last few weeks up to the fight and that all he would say is it was out west. I wonder if maybe if its HIT or Xtreme Couture to work on take downs.

Franklin will be like Liddel and Crocrop. Gun shy. Silva will rock him early and Rich wont be able to recover. It seems like its hard to find a fighter to recover after being stunned now adays. Not sure why, but once you get rocked, you might aswell toss the towel.

If you guys are basing the fight on the results of the first fight, don't be surprised that it does not go that way again. Rich Franklin admitted that he was surprised by Silva's strength in the clinch. All these people are talking like Rich Franklin is just a medeocre fighter and that is not the case. For anyone who thinks that Rich Franklin does not have the power or the skill to knock out Silva, just look at how hard he hit Nate. I do believe that Franklin has the power and the skill to win this one.

I cant see rich winning. I think he is a great fighter but Sikva messed him up mentally after their first fight. Rich's next fight he was really tenative and didnt look that great. Also if silva can submit a lutter style fighter he is a complete fighter. I give the edge to silva.

I train and fight Muay Thai (amature of coarse) but I have to say it takes a certain person to come back from a KO loss and face the guy that KO's you with confidence. One way a LOT of fighters gain that confidence is by beating someone that beat said fighter. Rich beat Okami (who kinda beat Silva) but it wasn't by that amazing of a finish. I agree that rich lost round 3 big time. I really think Rich is going to come out a little gun shy and get hurt real quick in round 1. I'm saying TKO in the second myself and putting money on Anderson. I think Rich hasn't faced top competition. His greatest opponent so far that he's beat is Evan Tanner, whos biggest win was to Phil Baroni. Even david louaso hasn't beaten anybody work talking about (sept tanner as well by cuts.)
I see Anderson hurting Rich through striking.
Plus we havn't seen Rich do anything amazing with GnP ever really. He wont beat Silva there at all.

Posted by mkiv9secsupra Anderson's ground game is weak? Jeremy Horn and Travis Lutter couldnt submit him and he even caught Lutter in a triangle....Thats a very weak ground game....
Oh please, Lutter looked terrible in that fight(technique wise), anyone can put him into a triangle when he jumps right into it... His ground game is weak, definitely the weakest aspect of his game, and Rich would be an idiot to not atleast test it, IMO.
Btw, that leg switch on Marquardt was pretty nice though
