The International Fight League is negotiating to sign what would be its biggest talent addition to date in Kurt Angle, the 1996 Olympic gold medal wrestler who later became a successful pro grappler.

"God willing, the IFL and myself can make a deal," Angle told FOXSports.com while attending the promotion's team championship finale Thursday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. "The best fit for me right now as a pro wrestler who [works] about 120 times a year is the IFL."

I saw your post, but this article was on MSN. I get a little excited when MMA news gets put on MSN, but less excited when its about Kurt Angle. Its basicly the same story, but this one is a little more in depth, at least thats what I thought.

I think Angle is just trying to keep his name out there. I don't really think he's ever going to fight an MMA fight. He says he needs a full year to get prepared, but Kurt Angle isn't exactly a spring chicken. He doesn't have very many years left in him, especially since his neck isn't all that great anyway.

If he does actually come to MMA I hope we get to see him fight Brock Lesnar. It could very well be the worst fight in the history of the sport but it would be a huge draw and have a novely type appeal to it. But he could single handedly save the IFL and that could be good.

Im a way bigger fan of mma then that fake ass wrestling but if you think that those wrestlers dont go through pain then you are crazy. There are more injuries in that then in mma.

Yeah more injury's because they are a bunch of retards that fly through tables. Wreslting is like two retards playing thumb war on top of a ladder only to have their step mom's come in and kick them both off . Yeah there is pain but minimal. If stupid rick flair can still " wrestle" then it is a bunch of bull crap.

Thats how i see it.

Yeah i agree. wrestlers dont experience real punches but they also do it on a more day to day basis. they put there bodies thru hell. and although the ring is padded it isnt like a mattress or anything. look at any athlete they have brought in and see how fatigued they get. and from when i watched it i believe kurt angle did a iron man match or 2 (60mins). i believe that he would be a good draw but dont see him being as good as he thinks he could be. lesnar i see totally diff. the potential is def there for him as long as he takes the proper road.
