Its cuz we watched the fight lol...

I think the general population of the mma scene agree with cody winning3 out of 5, and not even cruz debated the loss one bit so no one is willing to give any traction to the idea of this fight being a draw.

I too picked cruz but i dont see Cruz winning more then two rounds and thats the general consensus.

Two of these judges gave Cruz the 1st round, two of them gave him the 2nd round, and two of them gave him the 5th round. There's acknowledgement right there that Cruz won 3 out of 5 rounds.

Not saying you have to agree that the fight is a draw. I'm just saying a case can be made Cruz won those 3 rounds, that's it, nothing more. And if you watched the fight like you say, then you should be able to understand this, even if you scored it for Garbrandt.

Gabrandt is the only one to get all three to agree he won a round 2 actually, and more importantly he got all 3 to agree he won the entire fight. This wasn't a split or majority decision not one judge saw cruz winning the fight in its entirety.

Yeah, sorry five alive but you're definitely the minority on this one for sure.

Cody should gave finished him off at will instead of clowning around. Cruz took some damage. I had it scored for cody

Fair point, but I think it was effective in its own way. Cruz has high durability and recovery, not to mention craft, but to my knowledge he's never been mentally shaken in the octagon like this. Even more surprising when he won the war of words leading up to the fight.

Garbrandt showed a lot of new things - patience, composure, discipline. We know he's got the killer instinct. As long as that remains, right, as long as he doesn't coast in title fights now, he'll be a tough out for anyone (even my boy Dillashaw).

I must be out of my mind but I scored the fight a draw 48-48. I scored 10-10 for round 1 as I don't see how you could justify giving either fighter the round, rounds 2 and 5 clearly went to Cruz 10-9 and 3 and 4 clearly went to Cody 10-9. I saw no real justification for a 10-8 round.

Tony Weeks should not be asked back by the commission. You have to score round 4 a 10-8. That many knockdowns, that much damage, that much control. No way was that a 10-9.

10-7 wouldn't be out of the question.

I was thinking 10-5 even

I'm patronising but has there actually ever been a 10-7 round in MMA competition or even UFC competition ?

Forrest Petz vs Sammy Morgan, UFC Fight Night 6 in 2006. One judge gave it 30-23.

The most famous example is Nate Quarry vs Kalib Starnes (the running man fight). But I think that was three 10-8s.
