ANOTHER early stoppage, but it was all Johnson up to that point.

If Brenneman's head had hit the ground or his eyes had rolled but he clearly wasn't out and knew what he was doing.

I'm starting to wonder if this has anything to do with the Fox deal.

Mario not having a good night. Late and early stoppage.

Still think Johnson would have finished Charlie off in the first.

KFM checking in.

What a fight that was...I almost picked Mac Danzig and now you guys know why.

Hit 2 of my paraly already. Sass and Edwards - I just need Struve to come through now.

6 - 1 so far...all thanks to ECP.

good job KFM, I always told you you could do it

Thanks man. Did you stay with Barry or did you change it to Struve?

Struve but late changes always screw me

Man, it does appear that the stoppage was early with hindsight. But I must say, if I was the ref in there, I probably would have jumped in too...that shook me it was so nasty looking. Square on the face and it dropped him like nothing. Wow! I honestly can't blame the ref.

I cant believe how successful Rumble was at pinning Charlie's face to the mat.

Now that I see the replay, I can kind of see why he stopped it. Brenneman was dazed getting up and looked like he caught himself on the fence, and couldn't even manage to block the kick properly. He sees it coming because he tucked his chin in a little, but one hand was busy holding him up against the cage.

Charlie was holding himself up with both hands on the cage when the kick landed, that might have helped Mario make his decision to call it.

I feel Refs shouldn't act on the strike but what effect it has on the fighter and Mario didn't do that.

I have to agree with Joe that stoppage was early.

I agree. But of the many early stoppages we have seen, this is one I can most understand just because of the way it looked from the ref's angle. Looked like a Sean Salmon frankenstein fall until he hit the mat eyes open and ready to defend and by that time Mario had jumped in. I thought the Roller stoppage was worse.
