So much for due process.
Newly re-crowned light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (19-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) is moving on from Jon Jones (21-1-1 MMA, 15-1-1 UFC) and lining up his next fight. Apparently, he’s cutting out the UFC’s matchmaking middlemen too.
Cormier announced today that he’s conducted a poll, and the surging Volkan Oezdemir (15-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) is the opponent fans want to see

I voted no. Because I want to see a title eliminator between Gus & Oezdemir. Plus DC needs more time to rest after getting KO'd like that. I would hate for him to rush back into another fight. He needs 6-8 more months and a title eliminator fight would do that.

who gives a fuck, Jones has spoiled the lbw division for me, i honestly don't care what happens there till we start to see some new blood in a few years

I say yes!
With all the ridiculous undeserved or Interim Title fights being tossed around and Fighters opting not to defend their belt's and fighting in different weight classes. This Volkan guy is starching contenders let them fight.

Yes please make the fight I'm hoping Volkan can win but I have a feeling DC will grind it out for a decision win.

I would be fine with Volkan challenging for the title. The only other worthy LHW fighter who deserves a title shot is Gustafsson, but he already lost to DC, so let's get some new blood in the title picture!
I just hope DC doesn't come back too soon. That KO he received at 214 was brutal.

I voted, yes. Volkan was who I wanted to see fight for the belt next, whether it was Jones or DC. Had Manuwa won, many would have said he should fight for the belt next and since Volkan smoked him I felt he should take that spot. Had Jones not been stripped, then I could understand them doing the Jones/Gus rematch since that's a rematch years in the making, but I don't see a point in a DC/Gus rematch since they fought not that long ago. Maybe do it years end card or first card of 2018 to give DC a bit more of a break. Good choice.

They could also do a Daniel Cormier vs Robert Whitaker Super Interim Fight or DC vs Stipe, you know something that doesn't make any sense at all.
