It is really hard not to like this guy, I think he will make a great champ.

He's so young. It's hard to argue he won't reign supreme for a while. He has risen to the top, although I think he could benefit from a camp that executes game plans to a T. Like Jackson/Wink or Tristar. Curious to see his progression as a champion. Granted, he's gotta stay sharp as Aldo will return with a vengeance.

Max has the best "flow" in the game. He can string multiple combinations together better than pretty much every other fighter. His excellent and high level footwork and movement are some of the keys to his remarkable flow.

I'm happy for Max. I knew he had a good chance of beating Aldo but i did pick Aldo. As good as Max is and his continuous improvements and impressive streak i couldn't pull the trigger on him against the current FW GOAT.

This was actually good for the division for a number of reasons. Max will fight more often than any other FW Champ if allowed, it sets up a fight, weather you agree or not i don't care, with Frankie Edgar.

Edgar can beat him but either way these guysv are gonna v have their hands full with one another.

Aldo can get a couple non top contenders, build some confidence and either Main Event a Fight Night or Fox Show.
Or Co-Main or go in the 3rd spot on any Ppv.

Aldo should move to 55 or retire. After getting beat by McGregor, Frankie twice, and now Holloway I don't see any matches at FW that are very intriguing. Lots of vets at 55 he would be fun against, Barboza, Miiler, Lauzon, Pettis, ect. Guy isn't championship material any more.

The numbers would tell a different story, not Frankie's fault that most judges suck donkey dick for quarters...

What numbers would those be?

Aldo was closer to pitching a shutout in their last fight than losing the bout. The fight was scored for Aldo by 100% of the media outlets that covered it. Almost half of them didn't even give Edgar a single round. The fight stats weren't any kinder to Frankie. He landed fewer shots than Aldo despite throwing a lot more, and he went 0-11 on takedowns.

Things were closer in their first fight but Aldo was still the winner on all but one Media members scorecard.

I mean Judges do suck donkey dick, but I think there'd be far more complaints about them had they scored either of those 2 fights for Edgar.

Jb is trolling. You know I'm a Frankie fan, he lost both times. 1st one was competitive.

lol, fight 1

Aldo rnd1 21ss, rnd2 19ss, rnd3 15ss, rnd4 7ss, rnd5 14ss
Edgar rnd1 5ss, rnd2 7ss, rnd3 19ss, rnd4 14ss, rnd5 18ss

Edgar clearly wins rnds 3, 4, and 5 in sig strikes, while also winning in total strikes, and controlled the cage for 80%+ of those rounds, and hit a TD in the 4th.

fight 2

Aldo rnd1 14ss, rnd2 14ss, rnd3 17ss, rnd4 16ss, rnd5 19ss
Edgar rnd1 14ss, rnd2 14ss, rnd3 21ss, rnd4 20ss, rnd5 10ss

Closer fight but Edgar's higher volume and TD attempts should have won him either/both of rnd1 and rnd2, more so rnd2 with all the clinch control, and he outlanded Aldo in rounds 3 and 4. Only clear round for Aldo was round 5. Tougher fight to call as Aldo landed the bigger shots, but Frankie was still the clear winner IMO.
