The fans have spoken. The best fight in UFC history is Robbie Lawler's epic welterweight title defense against Rory MacDonald at UFC 189 on July 11, 2015.

Lawler vs. MacDonald narrowly edged Jon Jones' light heavyweight title defense against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 in the Final Four portion of fan voting, which drew more than 18,000 votes on ESPN.com.

I'll take Etim/Barbozza over either of these fights. Toughness and durability don't make a great fight, it's technique and conditioning combined with a spectacular finish.

There's been so many great fights over the years, I don't think I could pick one and call it the best but if I had to I'd say, Shogun Hendo.

For me, no, but I certainly understand the appeal. Its too hard to pick a "best fight ever" these days.

Definitely a fantastic fight. I won't call a single one the best but I'd include Bermudez/Grice in the conversation.

For sober knockers they could have added Wanderlei vs Stann...that was pretty epic for a slugfest.

I have to go with Hendo vs. Shogun 1. It might not be the most technical and hold up after you know the result, but when originally watching it on PPV, it was great. The huge swings in momentum and numerous close finishes were unreal. I admit it gets sloppy towards the end, and both fighters are exhausted, but that toughness and warrior, no quit, mentality, make it all that better. Plus two all time greats going at it, pushes it up a level.

2 of my favorite fights happened that night. Hendo v Shogun was so insane and had so many momentum shifts but my favorite fight that night was Eddie Alvarez versus Chandler. It had just as many momentum shifts and it was fought at such a high level. It was a great night to be a fight fan.

2 of my favorites as well. I didn't want to say the Bigfoot vs Hunt fight because there was nothing technical about it. But the heart, damage each other took was out of this world.

Shogun vs Hendo 1 was so crazy. I don't agree with the Decision though. I think it shouldn't been a draw.

Chandler vs Alvarez was badass too

Don't sleep on Erick Silva vs Matt Brown. It was only a round and a half, but it was a round and a half of complete savagery!
