The most highly anticipated comeback in UFC history is upon us.

Ronda Rousey will return after more than a year away to challenge champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, UFC president Dana White announced Wednesday on "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd.

Good match-up for Rousey if she can return strong. Nunes likes to start fast and stand in the pocket and trade, which is the exactly wrong M.O. to fight Rousey. Assuming Rousey isn't afraid to close the distance it could very well be a short night for Nunes.

Guarantee Rousey tries to take the fight to the ground asap. Hell, probably in her best intreat to grapple for a round to try and tire out Nunes.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

This goes to show you all, being popular gets you to the top no matter what. Great life lesson for today's kids. Up next GSP out of retirement to get a title shot.

Anyone who says Rousey doesn't deserve the immediate title shot really isn't being practical and unfair to Rousey's dominance as champion. Since Ronda left these girls are playing hot potato with the belt and no one female has separated from the pack in any meaningful way (even Nunes isn't too far removed from getting hammered by Cat).

Rousey defended her title in one of the most dominant reigns in the history of the sport, her fights weren't even competitive. She only took about a year off, I don't see why she can't come and fight for the belt off the bat. She built the damn division after all. Love her or hate her can't deny how much ahead of the pack she has looked for every fight but Holm.

I've never done an avatar bet before, nor do I even know how to do one....but I'd be willing to take Rousey for my first, if you're interested!

I agree...her hiatus is nothing compared to GSP's.

The worst part about the immediate title shot is she gets one but Aldo doesn't. He ruled that division for damn near a decade. He got caught but he didn't receive even a 10th of the beating Ronda got and she was dominating over matched competition for much less time.

It's really disappointing the UFC is treating Aldo like this. I hope Ronda gets KTFO.

I'm in, I think Nunes is tailor made for Rousey, kind of a cat zingano situation.

A Cat Zingano situation like Nunes will be reckless like how Zingano was with the flying whatever attempt with Rousey ?
Nunes is aggressive but she isn't a stupid fighter and is probably relishing this chance, all the questions are in Rousey's end...as of now I'm picking Nunes for sure
