'The Dominator' has responded to T.J. Dillashaw's comments, with some harsh words of his own.

It's not a bad thing to emulate or incorporate pieces of someone else's game to make yourself better. Dominick is probably just trash talking to generate hype, but for the record, I find Dillashaw's style much more exciting to watch than his.

The one thing he is right about is that Barao was never as good as advertised. He's to slow for the elite of the division & I'm just upset TJ revealed him first because I definitely think TJ is a bigger challenge to Cruz than Renan was to Cruz. TJ should be the rightful favorite when him & Cruz finally gets booked.

I'd be flattered honestly. It clearly shows both TJ and Ludwig have a ton of respect for him, whether they're going to say it out loud or not. It makes for a more difficult fight for him than if TJ had moulded himself entirely after Urijah though. It also means TJ has spent the time to really figure Dom out. I can't imagine the amount of tape he and Ludwig have watched on him over the last couple of years.

I have to disagree with that. Barao ran through the top of the division while he held the belt. A lot of people thought TJ was an excellent prospect that would hold the belt eventually but that his shot was way too soon. He proved that to be incorrect, as he's improved much quicker than anyone would have guessed and incorporated a perfect style to counter him. Going 0-2 against TJ doesn't take away going 7-0 in the UFC, 2-0 in the WEC and 32-1 throughout his entire career before that.

Cruz may be right about him being able to beat Barao in similar fashion and him being too slow but he may also be talking out his ass because he's talking about a lot of ifs. We'll probably never get to find that out. One thing we did find out was that Barao wasn't too slow for Faber, McDonald, Wineland, Jorgensen and Pickett during his run. That was the elite of the division while he was champion and Cruz was sidelined.

It just shows that Dom is a true innovator and pioneer of the new breed of MMA fighter...extremely fast with great movements and angles in striking with an incredibly well rounded game

Pretty shitty to say that considering you don't have one tiny shred of evidence.

Pretty stupid reply u got there..so when fighters get exposed and look differently then they have in their previous matches, they're all of suddenly on TRT / PED..shit we can say that about every fighter there has been in combat sport from mma to boxing to kickboxing..I love how u say that without proof..

I just hope this kind of talk from Cruz mean show recovery is going well! Hopefully his rehab is going to schedule. The question is, when he is ready to go, does he get another tuneup fight, or do they give him right to TJ? (Or whoever the champ may be when the time comes)

Faber is

in the miscellaneous floating area
...haha...i like that.

I hope P$ is right and this means Dom is ready. I also think that being behind the microphone and not getting to compete is starting to get to him. Yeah, TJ may be emulating parts of Dom's style and succeeding. But if he's implying that TJ hasn't earned it, I think he's being butthurt and bitter.

I hope not.

I'd be surprised if we ever see Cruz fight again. Hope I'm wrong, such a shame he was just about untouchable during his days as bantamweight champ..4yrs ago.
