More than two years have passed since 51-year-old Herschel Walker entered an MMA cage, but the former NFL great wants one more shot – in the UFC.

He just wasn't exciting or skilled enough to get the shot. I wouldn't hate seeing him fight once more, because I don't mind freakshow fights, but I can't see it happening.

I could see him getting Main Card on FX. The name value alone combined with Fox promotion on Sunday I think would draw pretty big.

The only way id want to see him for one last fight would be against either Royce Gracie, Mark Coleman, or Dan Severen. Atleast that way one of those guys get a proper goodbye from the ufc with a farewell fight that would draw interest. Just my 2 cents though

I'd call that a Freakshow fight. Fedor would have him out of there in under a min.

No thanks. Herschel is inspirational but he's a very small Heavyweight that beat up two guys that don't belong in an mma fight. Put him on a Legacy FC card or something but not a ufc card.

What did Herschel Walker ever do to you man?
I can't believe I forgot about ol' Herschel's can crushing exploits in Strikeforce. As much as I think it shouldn't happen.... give him a fight! Shawn Jordan has two BCS championships with LSU, so the football angle is there....

I dunno, the level of athlete in mma LHW/HW is still not very good outside the top 5. Schaub, Mitrione and even Shawn Jordan were just fringe American football players who are athletic enough to have winning UFC records against the bottom end opponents.
Not saying NFL guys could just waltz into the cage and win but does anyone think guys like Joey Beltran at LHW or the bottom 5 UFC Hws are so good that they can't be beat by a Herschel Walker? I would say Walker could beat a few guys.

I mean the gave James Toney a fight. Walker would fare better in an MMA fight. I think Dana should give him one fight.
