Josh Barnett may not be coming back to the UFC after all.

According to Barnett's manager Leland LaBarre, Barnett has officially declined the promotion's latest contract offer.

"We agreed on guaranteed compensation," LaBarre said. "In fact, we never even countered. We accepted their original offer.

"However, there are some outlying issues -- one in particular -- that as of this point we were unable to agree on."

I'm shocked the UFC even made an offer. He isn't a bad fighter but he is a liability. He has been popped for PEDs to many times to trust he wont get popped again.

I wouldn't be shocked if the hang up is either random testing or exclusivity. Barnett is big on wanting to participate at least in wrestling. Crazy that they agreed on money that quickly though.

wel he is popular and is a relatively big name. i surely dont have to bring up the diaz bros and weed do i? i guess what im trying to say is that the liability thing just doesnt make much sense to me. he isnt the only one who has been busted more then once.

I wouldn't care if the UFC wasn't in such a need for quality HWs.

Wonder if it has anything to do with wrestling? If that was one of the reasons for turning down the offer

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

If there's just one underlying issue, then I have to assume it's wrestling.

I hope the UFC cave and let him do both, but It's more likely that we just won't see Josh in the UFC. He loves his wrestling. Can't fault him for that. Bellator will probably let him do both, and WSOF could have him fight Arlovski or Rumble.

I'm fine with whatever he chooses.
