“The biggest problem is the UFC in general. They’re all about branding their name. We’re the guys who get inside the cage. Strikeforce is working toward making superstars, not worried about their brand. It really comes down to a respect value. They don’t respect me. They don’t cherish me at all. UFC wouldn’t let me go to the Fan Expo. I feel very sorry for all my fans. I’m here for the fans, I’m going to support them no matter what.”
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz talks about his exclusion from the UFC Fan Expo in Las Veag during the hoopla for the big UFC 100 weekend. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” — whether you love him or hate him — is a 21-fight veteran of the Octagon and has been a key player in some of the biggest feuds in mixed martial arts history including his two bouts with Chuck Liddell and his much ballyhooed trilogy against Ken Shamrock. Is UFC President Dana White doing a disservice to the fans by suppressing the significance of Ortiz out of personal dislike? Or does Tito share just as much of the blame?

Tito only cares about the money.
If he cared about his fans so much, he wouldn't be holding out on contract offers and have such a rediculous asking price that nobody will sign him. He'd be inside the cage or ring putting on a show for his fans.

Didn't you hear...he is holding out for a record breaking contract, because it will help other fighters get the pay that they deserve.

Idk why so many people say they hate Tito, when they really dont. Were they not chanting "TITO TITO TITO" when he fought Lyoto? I think most people just don't like to admit they like him.

Well, I was actually chanting LYOTO LYOTO LYOTO and I loved every minute of that fight...especially since Tito's response to that fight was "Lyoto who?". I wouldn't say that I hate Tito, but I do really enjoy it every time he gets punched in the face and I'm able to witness it.

The problem is this.$$$$$$$$$$$$.It's all about the benjiman's.Tito knows that he will NEVER make the money he made with the UFC.Tito stuck by his guns and for that i respect him as a man.He would not let them own his likeness or name. For that stance he just had to know, his days were numbered. As for Tito(the fighter),his best days are past.He might be able to hang in there with some of the talented newcomers, but with the elite fighters at 205,he is going to be just a journeyman. Its time for him to sign up some legitimate prospects to Team Punishment, and coach them with the skills and knowledge needed to make it to be a world champion 1 day!!!

Although i agree with what hes saying in principle, I think its hard to talk RESPECT with a guy who mocks burying his opponents body after hes beat them..! He needs to stop lying about companies hes signed with and sign with someone if he wants to. If he doesnt, he needs to shut the hell up because 85% of the stuff that come out of his mouth is BS and the other 15% is true (UFC not respecting fighters or paying them what the deserve etc) but is not for the good of the sport but for the good of HIM.
