I love the writeups that they have for each video.

That's a terrible, terrible list. Mir-Sylvia as the great technical submission? Come on.

I agree. It was brutal but not so technical...

I don't know... it was pretty amazing when it happened. At the time Tim Sylvia was wrecking everyone, and Mir pulled it off so fast people barely knew what happened. The most amazing thing was that Tim refused to admit his arm was broken, he wanted to continue fighting. To me that was pretty awesome when it happened

No one doubted its awesomeness. Just the technical-ness(?) of it.

A technical submission is any submission in which the referee has to step in because the fighter does not tap. Much the same as a technical knock out is any KO in which the ref has to step in because a fighter is not defending himself properly. It has nothing to deal with the technique used to put the submission on.

You can actually get an even sicker takedown to a d'arce from a front choke like that. It's pretty much like breaking the dude's neck, lol

I was happy to see Saku Renzo so far up
But there were a few great ones missing

Shungo Oyama is always great for a never say die attitude
Against wallid Ismail
And against Ryan Gracie
Granted he didn't have time to tap against Ryan but he took it like a man

And any time Misaki gets choked out it is a credit to his samurai spirit
I remember a time when Marquart Broke his arm and he he got up and tried to kick him in the head
