Do you think that they should have grappling matches on mma cards?

Definitely not. MMA is great on its own as it is.

I wouldn't mind it.
That's one thing I loved about Colliseum 2000. That whole thing was an MMA event, but in between matches they had Martial Arts exibitions that seemed to enrich the whole experince.
I would much rather see this than hear some second rate nu-metal music over Joe Rogan and Mike Goldbergs commentary.
But in MMA, or at least in Japan I think we already see this.

I would be interested in seeing gi style MMA fights (required) for the simple fact of novelty. I don't think I've ever seen two guys with Gis in a fight.
I mean hell, in Japan they have tag team fights, how could this be any worse?

I liked when Pride did it, but the crowds here woulden't enjoy it.

I don't think so. I like my MMA PPV the way they are. They have enough trouble squeezing in the quality undercard fights sometimes.

western "fight" fans do not understand grappling as a whole... there are a few of us out there that think thats the more interesting side of things because most real fights end up on the ground... but Joe Q Moron out there does not understand grappling therefore does not like it...
having a grappling match in an area where people do not understand grappling is a bad idea from a promotion standpoint

there shouldn't be a differance
If a guy wants to wear a gi so be it there are still a few out there that do on ocassion but it's rare Mostly judokas
Takimoto Akiyama Yoshida Even though they seem to have outgrown it
You want a gi match Put two guys in the ring with a gi
I love how Daisuke Nakamura still wears Pancrase style boofs He must be glutton for punishment, begging a snapped knee. Or maybe he uses it to lure opponents into his world Much like Royce used to do with his gi

I would love to see a guy like Karo Parisyan when people are forced to wear Gis in MMA.
I'd be for it, but under a specific ruleset and in their own separate events. I don't think it's something the average fan would get behind, though. It would be purely for the hardcores, and honestly I could never see it happening.

March Badness featured mma + boxing i would love to see events like these make the addition of grappling matches and pull off a triple threat.
