According to a statement put out today by M-1 Global regarding Kirill Sidelnikov's failed drug test at Affliction 2, "Kirill indicated that during that time away he began to experience complications from a broken nose that he had recently sustained. Not wanting to miss any training time leading up to “Day of Reckoning,” Kirill followed the advice of a coach not affiliated with M-1 who gave him a nose spray commonly used in Russia to help treat some of his symptoms. It is M-1’s belief that the nose spray is what contained the Stanozol."

That's some serious nose spray.
That reminds me when a friend helped me out. I had failed a drug test. They said there was cocaine in my system. Apparently, when I complained of being tired, a friend recommended this common nose spray. It came in powder form, but boy did it work. I found out later it was cocaine!
OK, this didn't really happen but....

That's what I was thinking. Clearly not something you can get OTC, at least not around here. Sounds rather fishy.

Seems strange considering I have never heard of Stanozlol coming in a nasal spray. It is usually in a tablet or injected. Also, Stanozlol is not usually the preferred steroid for healing up. Stanozlol is the same stuff Barry Bonds, Tim Sylvia, Chris Leben, and Fernando Vargas used and is usually taken to gain strength and losing fat.

If I recall correctly, Stanozlol is really a big female thing. Like you said earlier, its used to burn fat, and increase strength. It really has no major side effects, so females tend to abuse it a lot before a show or something.
All in all, I've never heard of it being in a spray form either.

Stanozolol does come in spray form. in fact, a quick google search of Stanozolol spray shows many ways one can purchase Stanozolol in spray form. my question is, is there any nasal spray that might have Stanozolol as an ingredient and Kyril might not have noticed it? i personally am pessimistic when it comes to steroids so i think he definitely cheated, but i just want to know all the possibilities.
and on a side note (like others have already mentioned) he looked horrible for being on steroids. for something that is supposed to burn fat and build strength it seemed to have little effect on him.

I remember I was prescribed a nasal spray once and was excited to find out that that it was a steroid nasal spray. Unfortunately all it did is clear up my mucus.

Wow, he looked like Bowen?!?!
Side note. Bowen, why do you have the name "Ross" tattooed on your chest?
Also, Kirill has Bowen's looks, but does he have the moves

If there was a respiratory infection involved then there may be some merit to this. Roids are commonly used to clear up respiratory issues (Most notably in metered dose inhalers for asthma), but not generally for nasal blockages that I know of. Although I don't know whether Stanozolol is the steroid in steroid inhalers, I would say that it's unlikely. Stanozolol is a "new" steroid on the market, and it's better known as Winstrol.
EDIT: After closer research, apparently nasal spray steroids for clearing mucus blockages are pretty common. Turns out they trigger a brain response that stops the production of mucus in the nasal passage. Ever heard of flonase, anyone? Nasal spray steroid

when i first saw Ross Clifton before his fight with Shamrock i laughed so hard because he looked like me. i'd like to think i'm not quite as fat as Ross is though
if Kirill had my moves he would have dodged all of Buentello's punches and won a UD just because...
