That sure didn't take long...just 2 days after UFC officials successfully negotiated a deal to keep UFC 97 in Montreal, the full card has been revealed. 5 fights are scheduled to air on PPV headlined by UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva vs. Thales Leites.

That is an average card. I hope Liddell KO's Shogun.

Herman vs. the crow should be on the main card instead of Krystof vs. Stann. I'm pumped up for the cantwell fight for sure.

average? i think this is one the most stacked cards from top to bottom since 82....
and all the matchups are extremely even...this is gonna be a tough card to call..

plus we get the return of the crow, tj grants debut, and x's debut as well...the only fight on this card that is give or take for me is the bockek vs beilkenhaden which is still a good matchuo

Every Canadian on the card is on the undercard!

They must figure every MMA fan north of the border will be there in attendance to see the hometown boys.

It's a good card
Silva
Shogun/Chuck
And what i'm most excited for is the Stann/Cantwell setup
If they both win, next will be the long awaited showdown
Each have loses only to each other
The winner will go on to have a great career
I pick Cantwell

And a bunch of good Canadian fighters for the Canadian Crowd
poor guys miss out on GSP
But i'm Happy the rules were approved
And i can't wait for the event

agreed....i think for legacy wise the fight i most am excited for is the liddell-shogun fight....it will really show were each are truly at right now......but as far as excited for a great fight, the one im looking forward to the most is cane-cantwell

I think this is a great card. I know anderson silva's last fight wasn't that exciting, but i think that just means he'll want to bring it faster this time. I see him being his usual exciting self and finishing this one in the second.

Liddell v Rua is an awesome co-main event. Maybe neither guy is in line for a title shot right now, but you can't complain with two of the biggest names going at it. Im most excited for this one.

Cane is rolling and i can't wait to see him against cantwell, tough fighter. Stann v Krystoff isn't as appealing to me, but it will probably be a great stand-up fight, so it will be finished before the 3rd. I also want to see more of Kongo. If he can finish another opponent, a tough hardonk, he should be fighting a big name guy in his next fight.

Also a bonus on this card, is the undercard looks really exciting. So im hoping for lots of finishes so we can see some of them aired. Mainly i want to see kang again. He was getting the best of belcher before his mistake. Im excited to see the crow back. we'll see how he does. macdonald v quarry also has the makings of an exciting fight.

Can't wait for 97!!! Better than 95 and 96 combined.

It's lame that the Crow vs. Herman is on the undercard. Hopefully he decimates Herman and they show the fight anyway on the PPV.

Pretty solid card, especially with the co-main event. The only fight I'd rather see pushed down would be Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Brian Stann, in which I'd probably rather watch Ed Herman vs. David Loiseau or Sam Stout vs. Matt Wiman.

The undercard is absolutely stacked. I really hope we'll get to see "The Crow" make it to the broadcast. A future bout with Dennis Kang would be epic.
