Why does everyone say that Evans should be the 1 contender for the lhw title what has he done..
he undeated sure ,great but who have he beaten
Bisping by Spilt D
a draw with Otiz
Sean Salmon by KO (before this fight Sean was nobody)
Jason Lambert (a good fighter) by KO
Stephan Bonnar by Majority U
Sam Hoger by Split D
and Brad Imes by Split D

its good but not contender status
he only finished 2 fights in the UFC and the rest going to the score cards
i say Rashad needs 2 or 3 good fights before he is ready for a title shot
get the fight back on this james at a fight night or somthing
i dont mean to sound like a Evans hater dont get me wrong he is a great fighter i just dont think he is contender for the title right now.

ContenderS
Wandy
Shogun
Chuck
Keith

I agree, give it to someone deserving like Machida. Subing Soko and almost putting away Tito (damn bell) trumps what Rashad has done at LHW. Beating Bonnar and a MW Bisping dosn't make you a contender. Not to take anything away from Rashad I just think it's time for Joe Silva to give him a top contender again.

I actually think the UFC would have a few good PPV with Machida as champ. Everyone seems to think he's "boring" so they will be wanting him to loose. Why did the Ortiz/Shamrock fights draw at the time because you hated one of the guys. I actually payed money for the Sylvia/Snowman card because I just wanted to see Tim loose the belt. So in the short run I think they could make a quick buck off him. Then again I've never ran a company =D

I wholeheartedly agree with your opinion on Rashad Evans.

Evans has yet to really prove anything in the UFC and has proved he isn't a drawing fighter either.
His performance against Bisping was supposed to be his coming out party but he failed to impress. I feel as if Matt Hamill had a better showing against Bisping than Evans did and Evans won his match.

Rashad should face one of the big name brazilian fighters currently flooding the UFC, if he can beat one of them he can be considered an elite fighter.

he is not a number 1 contender... but he is as close as anyone right now imo. he IS undefeated and that at least says something. as much as i dont like bisping he is a good fighter and rashaad beat him. along with some other decent fighters. he might not be an exciting fighter but you dont have to be exciting to be good. couture isnt all that exciting but he is damn good. at least give him wandy, shogun or machida. until he loses he is a contender.

Maybe,
as a middleweight,
if Anderson Silva, Dan Henderson & Rich Franklin leave,
and Wanderlei doesn't drop to MW.

rashad is very overrated imho
too bad chuck v rashad never happened to test this
like everyone has already itterated he needs to beat some top ten talent (and ease up on the lay and pray strategies) before he should be considered for #1 contender status

Right now Rashad needs a big win to put him in title contention. His win over Bisping kept him in the top ten, but he'll have to take down a big name to get a crack at the belt. I think Rashad vs Thiago would be a great fight, but wouldn't necessarily put Rashad in top contender position. I don't know. The LHW div. is a mess right now and I hope to see him fight soon. But my guess is they'll reschedule Rashad vs Thiago.

jardine beats lidell- Lidell beats Wandy ,Wandy crushes jardine-
forest was not supposed to beat Shogun
Now:
Page beats Forest
shogun beats???

Mess is right-

You have Machida, Silva and Evans un beaten
Forest Lidell Wandy Jardine and shogun- lets not forget Dan henderson looked good against silva in the oppenning and looked decent all fight against Jackson- ( better than Forrest will look anyway)

Evans hopefully gets Machida or either Silva next-
Lidell will hopefully get shogun
Matt Hamill vs Jardine???

am I missing anyone?
