Looks like The Cigar has hung up the gloves so to speak... Surprised me to hear it, and thought it was interesting...

Hopefully with Castro gone, Cuba can go the way of democracy and start straitening out a country that has been oppressed how many of the past decades....

His brother has pretty much been running the country for the past month and a half anyway.
I don't see anything really changing.

I would think that someone else has been running the country for a while... Fidel was getting really old... Maybe as they phase out the old guard change will come... well we can always hope anyways

FREE HECTOR LOMBARD!

Maybe Hector will be less likely to have issues when fighting in the USA now.

I read that he's likely to be elected to the 31-member Council of State on Sunday and is still a member of parliament, so he's not really going anywhere yet. He really won't be gone until he dies. Event hen it won't be overnight.

There both very old, I'm surprised nobody has tried to overthrow recently. Can't be that hard as long as you gather a solid group of people.

Nothing will change. This is a good time to try to change but someone will take his place (prob his bro.) Everyone thought N korea would fall apart after the death of Kim Jong Il's dad died, but Kim took over and managed ok. I hope Castros brother isnt successful. Communism makes me sick and cuba is a sad example. My one friend lived there and got off on the second to last ship to avoid it and was very fortunate.
