NBC has become interested in airing mixed martial arts programming starting early in 2008. Due to the writer's strike the big Networks are turning to reality TV, which doesn't require writers, to fill the void.

It appears that the UFC is in "advance discussions" with CBS to air prime-time specials on CBS in the first quarter if the strike continues and a deal could be closed as soon as this week.

this is good since mma would be the ONE thing worth watching on that channel.

I wonder how they would organize the show. Would it be like a 2 hour special with like 6 fights? Or a show that was on regularly and was like an hour long?

Im also curious who they would have on the broadcast team because if there is no Joe Rogan, im going to be angry.

My guess is they'd probably do something along the lines of Unleashed, Wired, or IFL Battleground. If they were to get 3 hour slots I could see them doing a bit of editing and showing some old PPVs (most are just 2 hours of fights, the rest is promos, interviews, etc).
