agreed. With a proper main event, this could've been card of the year.. especially if you threw in AA vs HH =D

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed in this card, but with the way that the December card is shaping up I can forgive them quickly

I personally like this better than Franklin vs. Okami

I dont know what everyone is whining about this looks like a pretty exciting card to me......granted Bisping vs Evans should not be the main event, but it should be a good slug fest......

I think the quality of the card as a whole is kind of being overshadowed by the quality of the headline fight. Bispbing vs Evans is a pretty unexciting prospect IMO, but most of the rest of the card looks great. Not really big name fights, but good ones nonetheless. Silva vs Houston should be really entertaining, Chonan vs Karo should be really interesting, Edgar vs Fischer should be action packed, I'm interested to see how Terrell does in his return as well.

This is a really good card IMO, just the headline fight is a little disappointing. On the upside, the fact that there's no title fight might allow us to catch an extra undercard or two. Unlikely since Rashad vs Bispbing is probably going to go the full boring 15 minutes.

I hate how UFC doesn't show you all the matches in prelim. Sometimes they show 1 extra...hopefully its the Lauzon fight. I told him 2 weeks ago to get a 1st round Submission !!

Wait...both of these fighters are undefeated and are legitimate LHW contenders! The UFC 72 main event (Franklin vs. Okami) was a lot worse than this. I don't think that it's really that bad. It's not every day that you get to see two undefeated fighters in a main event that means something; the winner gets a title shot.

The rest of the card is decent, but not great. Houston Alexander is fighting again; if he wins, he could possibly face Shogun Rua for a title shot. Ed Herman and David Terrell are two names at 170 that we know. The winner will definitely get some attention in the WW divison, even though it's stacked. Ryo Chonan, a man who has beat UFC MW champ Anderson Silva, makes his UFC debut against WW contender Karo Parisyan; the winner will be in good position for a WW title match in 2008. Frankie Edgar and Spencer Fisher are two LW's that always bring it. That's my pick for fight of the night. Plus, the prelim fights feature known guys such as Joe Lauzon, Akihiro Gono, and Thiago Alves facing Chris Lytle. This may not be the best card of the year, but it's a solid transition card, especially since they couldn't get Sherk/Penn or Evans/Ortiz.

I cant believe anyone would complain about this card. This is an excellent card. The only thing I could understand people complaining about is the fact that their is not a title fight on the card. With 5 weight divisions they pretty much ought to be able to put a title fight on each card, but as was mentioned before, Sherks situation messed that up. Plus, the fact that they waited til after TUF for Hughes to challenge Serra. Still a great card though, Im very excited.
