i think they will give it to him just because he has beaten rampage 2wice, and there is no real crystal clear #1 contenders right now....

i think wandi should fight a couple fights in the UFC first before he gets a title shot.

I know Wandi is a great fighter but not even Nog got to come in and get a title shot for his first match. I don't think Dana is gonna give any fighter from pride that did not posses a belt at prides end to have an auto title fight.
I think we should see what Forrest has. I mean i was extremly impressed with his fight with Shogun. I would really like to see him fight Jardine in a rematch so he can avenge that loss.

However since he beat Shogun where else is there for him to go? I mean name another fighter that doesn't already have a planned fight coming up that would be a step up from Shogun.

right now i think forrest, jardine and machida all have legitimate cases for the next shot. wandy does have a better resume, but i think he might still fight chuck or one of the aforementioned 3 guys that doesnt get the title shot. its very cloudy at 205 now though, and nothing would surprise me.

Am I the only one who thinks Machida's being left in the dark in this picture?

I think Forrest deserves the next shot at Rampage. He stepped up and beat the #1 LHW in the world.

Next, Wandy vs. Jardine should happen soon. That winner would be next after Forrest.

As for Machida, I'm not sure. He's earned a big time fight too. Maybe Machida vs. Henderson? Who knows.

I say

Wanderlei VS Tito

Griffin VS Jardine

I would then put the winner of these two fights against eachother to see who gets a shot at Rampage.

Yeah, he is. But the UFC does not want Machida anywhere near that belt right now because of his reputation for not finishing fights. That mixed with no wins over a top ten Light Heavy mean he's still got a bit to prove before he gets a shot.

I gotta say no to Wandi he has two losses in a row just like Chuck, which is why I'm hoping they still fight. I guess I'd go with Forrest but I would love to see a Jardine vs. Forrest rematch winner is #1 contender. Then again it could be the winner of Tito and Rachad too.

Wandy has the best credentials with shogun and liddell losing. The other fighters have had big wins but just got over big loses. Wandy has beaten rampage give him a go and see what happens.
