After blowing out his knee in May and having successful surgery, UFC middleweight contender
Martin Kampmann (15-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) again went under the knife a couple weeks ago to have his knee scoped, and the 24-year-old now expects a return to the Octagon in March or April of 2008.

Always nice to see some news about TUF non-veterans. There are fewer and fewer of them in the UFC.

I hope he comes back 100%. The division really needs him to be a big time contender.

I still think he would have taken it to Rich alot harder then Yushin did. Sucks he got hurt in the first place but heres to hoping he gets himself healthy and comes back strong.

Martin Kampmann is the man... I hope he comes back from the surgery as strong as he was before the injury. He'll be an excellent addition to the MW

martin kampmann would not beat rich franklin. kampmann cannot take a hit.he is a small middle weight compared to rich, macdonald, and most of the other fighters.

Woah woah woah! Mcfedries punished him biiiiig time. He can definetly take a hit. Watch him fight before commenting. He's beaten Thales, and only lost two fights, one by cut. He's definetly an up and comer.

I don't think Kampmann is on Rich's level yet, but to say he can't take a hit is just plain foolish. I'd bring it up, but it's already been brought up- watch him fight Drew McFederies. One of the greatest fights (with one of the most beautiful finishes) I've seen in a long time. McFederies practically put his fist through the back of Kampmann's head and he still came out on top. The guy's got serious gusto.
