Who is the most likely candidate to overthrow the current champion? Who in your opinion would you give a 40%+ Chance of beating the current champion, if nobody pick nobody, if there are 2 or more people pick the one you would say has the highest likelihood to beat the champion.

If there's a guy outside the top 5 you think could dethrone them please comment, otherwise I will try to just use the top 5 of each division via the PG Rankings.

My first few posts on this site were about the likelihood of champions being dethroned. All the way back when Machida took the championship and I've wanted to do them all again, so here we are.

If I `had` to pick one, I'd pick Luke Rockhold. I like the way they match up.

Been wanting to see a Rockhold vs Weidman fight since the SF merger, thought that should fo been Rockholds first fight in the UFC as a number 1 contender fight. I chose Rockhold.

I went with Jacare because his style of fighting is completely different from the others. While they are different strikers stylistically, Rockhold, Machida, and Mousassi are all kick boxers who rely heavily on their kick game and long jabs. Jacare is much more of a slugger. On the ground d I think Jacare is the only one with the wrestling to make sure that he isn't constantly on his back shooting for subs...while the other three will likely rely on their pure jitz against Weidman.

I'd say Rockhold but it could be Jacare as well. I just think Weidman and Jacare are very similar fighters so it would come down to who is the better version, whereas Rockhold is a very different fighter who has a lot of tools to finish the fight from almost any position you could think of. He's also pretty massive for the division without losing cardio. He's very dangerous right now and I wouldn't be surprised to see him holding the title in late 2015 - early 2016.

Given if he can stay Injury free and have it not effect him long term.

Rockhold.

He has a lot of contenders.
He needs to be healthy to defend.

Belfort
Rockhold
After that Romero vs Jacare winner.

I hope Chris defends a again this year besides may
Have him fight again in oct

If Machida hadn't fought him before, I'd obviously say him.

I think the only answer is Rockhold. I guess you could also say Jacare too, but I'd never feel great about picking Jacare to win.
