Had a feeling they were going to go with 4 POTN winners instead of a FOTN. Makes sense to me.

I'm sure they gave Magomedov a little something under the table to keep him happy and to continue putting on amazing performances like that. At least, I hope they did, b/c ya....Miranda was getting owned for about 4:50 then Collier thought he could coast the rest of the round and learned the hard way. Magomedov put on and awesome performance.

If you think the UFC gives money under the table you havent been paying attention for the last few years.

Strange because I actually thought Barao looked terrible. Was a decent finish but I thought he looked flat footed and looked hesitant to engage, maybe it was just me?

It wasn't. He was definitely landing the harder shots on Gagnon, and he defended all takedown attempts, but he was a bit tentative and reactive until the 3rd round. Had he fought a guy with stronger wrestling or more power in their hands, he could've very well been out-hustled.

Don't get me wrong - the arm triangle was a pretty finish, and Barao wasn't ever in danger, but he won this by simply outclassing his opponent, not because he worked harder for it in the cage.

He definitely got hit a lot more than I expected. And it was against a guy not known for his stand up. Was not impressed, but he looked good in the third round.

Contrasting talent levels probably look like POTN during fights.

The top 2 POTN's where Machida and Erick Silva IMO.

On a side note I wouldn't say that Barao looked any better in the 3rd. I think it was more that Gagnon went hard early on and ran out of gas. Barao was just able to work the much tired fighter Gagnon.
