Although an undisclosed injury has forced Alistair Overeem (36-12 MMA, 1-1 UFC) out of May's UFC 160 lineup, it appears UFC officials will simply delay his bout with fellow heavyweight contender Junior dos Santos (15-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC).

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) passed along news of Overeem's withdrawal from the May 25 event on Wednesday.

I do still want to see this fight, despite all the Hunt talks. I've been waiting on this one for over a year and if I wait any longer I might freak out. As for Hunt, maybe he could fight the winner of DC Mir

Overeem pulls out 10 weeks early but somehow he'll be ready in the summer? Confusing.

I was under the impression that this fight was already scheduled for summer.

This is alot less competitive than JDS v. Mark Hunt.
#rallyformarkhunt.

But seriously, JDS is going to stop him early.

He needs time to sort out his 'horse meat' cycle.

Agreed. You got the size vs speed matchup and the best boxer v best kickboxer at HW. Should be a good one.

As for Hunt I'd like to see him fight Nelson. The Kongo v Nelson fight doesn't do it for me.
