*Sidenotes - I view Carwin as retired since every part of him is broken and hes in his late thirties. I think Nog is better than Mir. If they fight a third time Nog will be the Vegas favorite, and i think his style of fighting matches up better against the rest of the division than Franks. Flame on. I havent seen Bellators Hws fight so theyre not getting in my rankings.

Why do you say the Vegas odds would favor Nogueira¿ Mir is 2-0 with 2 finishes against him and every legitimate rankings have Mir above Nogueira.

Because he was kicking his ass in one sided fashion in thefght where he didnt have staph infection.
Thats a heavier, more consistent variable to factor in then Nog showing up sick or getting caught in a similar transition/finish on the ground.
Also, Mir has worse wrestling than Nog has TDD, which in all likelihood means the fight stays on its feet for a long period of time. Mir had no answer for the Jab and he was getting blasted in the clinch.
Vegas will weigh a one-sided performance over an awesome submission against a top level Bjj BB. Because theyre in the business of making money. And the smart money is on the fighter who performed better. Though Noglost, he performed better.

Every legitimate rankings have Mir above Nogueira.
Every legitimate ranking also ranks in accordance to W/Ls and rarely touches the "who would win against who" factor. But thats pretty much all Vegas accounts for. My rankings reflect who i think would do the best against their peers. Online sources go off empirical data because they want to be taken seriously. I dont, because i dont care about that. I care about whos the best. And in my opinion, the empirical data matters less than my analysis in dtermining that.

if this were to be true, the betting public would come in heavy on Mir and shift the line to make him at least a -250 favourite

True. Though i think anyone that bet on Mir at -200 is a fool.
Youre right though, Vegas will put the odds as low as people will bet on it. Mitigates risk.
