On yesterday's edition of TAGG Radio, K-1 standout Denis Kang discussed a variety of topics, including his upcoming DREAM fight against Gegard Mousasi and his prior negotiations with UFC.

I've always wished that the UFC would pick up Dennis. That would add some serious talent to the 185'ers.

It is to bad so many of these fighters put so much emphasis on fighting in these competitions just because they have a fan base there. Kang has Spirit Fedor has Sambo. Don't they realize they would be doing more for their country by being in the UFC where they can bring a lot more attention to their country and sport.

Not necessarily. Remember that if you sign a UFC contract, you fight for UFC and only UFC. So he couldn't fight elsewhere or in his native country without UFC doing an event there-that's one reason Fedor didn't sign before. This deal he signed only requires 1 Spirit fight a year, so he's still free to right elsewhere and maintain his fan base in Korea.
